Let me tell you about Celadon Trucking Services of Indianapolis,In. 1st off I was hired there in May of 2007 for the first 6 months things went well lots of miles and they let me take good home time off. After that my miles started to go down alot . The way they are now is the weekend dm's are useless if you drop a load off on a Friday you will sit till Monday or Tuesday. The night dm's are useless as well to. They don't help you at all with any problems you have on the road and they take forever to help you.
Anyway I was let go from that company in March of this year I was getting under 1500 miles a week . I asked them for more miles they fired me. Also they used this against me . I needed extra time off at the house they said ok take it. Then they tell me I have trouble coming out of the house if they didn't want me to take extra time off they could've said no but they said yes and then said I had trouble coming off home time. Also if you try to tell them you can't take a load cause your out of hrs THEY WILL FIRE YOU they used that excuse on me saying I refused loads and had trouble coming out of the house I could say so much more about that company BAD THINGS but I will tell you this and leave it as this
PLEASE DON'T GO TO CELADON THEY WILL WORK YOU OVER !! ALSO THESE STATEMENTS ABOUT THEM NOT GIVING YOU MONEY BACK FOR TOLLS IS TRUE !! I've worked there for 3YRS.. And they are not good to work for THE DM'S THERE ARE SLOW AT ANSWERING Q-COMM MESSAGES THEY DON'T HAVE GOOD COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS IN THEIR OFFICE WITH ONE ANOTHER TRUST ME PLEASE DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU LIKE TO SIT FOR DAYS WAITING ON LOADS AND HAVE DUMB DM'S WORKING WITH YOU !!! CELADON WILL START YOU OFF AT .29 CENTS PER MILE I WAS GETTING .33 CENTS PER MILE THERE AND WHEN YOU START MAKING ALOT PER MILE THERE THEY ALSO WANT TO FIRE YOU CAUSE YOUR COSTING THEM TO MUCH MONEY THAT WANT A DRIVER WITH OVER 5 YRS EXPERIENCE TO GO THERE AND ONLY GET .29 CENTS PER MILE.. ARE YOU WORTH THAT MUCH I WOULDN'T DRIVE A TRUCK FOR .29 CENTS PER MILE , GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CAREER SUCH DON'T GO TO CELADON....HERE'S A HELPFUL WEBSITE TO YOU DRIVERS BURNT BY CELADON (((Redacted))) ALSO ONE LAST THING WHEN YOUR TRUCK GOES INTO THE SHOP THE MECHANICS GO THRU YOUR POSSESIONS IN THE TRUCK AND INVADE YOUR PRIVACY.....................

If Celadon with-held your moneys from you last check for anything like cleaning fee, recovery fees to pickup the truck, tolls, out of route mileage. THEY CANNOT WITH-HOLD ANY MONEYS FROM YOUR CHECK. GOT THAT STRAIGTH FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, BUT MOST GUYS DON'T TAKE THE EXTRA STEP TO FINE OUT.
Celadon has to pay you the wages you are owed for the mileage your drove, and if they have any recovery fees they need to handle it thru small claims court.
When I quite I drove the truck to the nearest truck stop near my home, unpacked my belongings and called Celadon and told them to come get the truck.
When I got my last paystub, I was charged a recover fee, a cleaning fee, they charged me a fee for my passport which I still have not yet received, all sorts of misc fees. The tolls that I was never paid for all of a sudden appeared as paid on the last pay-stub.
I called the Indiania Department of Labor to see what I had to do to file a complaint against this company for unpaid toll reimbursements, shortage on mileage that I didn't get paid for. I had to borrow money from my family to stay afloat day to day. What a nightmare. I basically worked for free. I'm so d**n mad I could spit nails, and bunch someone in the face and do some serious damage.
I WAS TOLD BY DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, THAT THE COMPANY CANNOT WITH-HOLD ANY FEES FROM MY CHECK. THEY HAVE TO PAY ME WHAT I WAS TO HAVE BEEN PAID, AND IF THERE WERE ANY OTHER CHARGES THEY WOULD HAVE TO GO TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT. SO PASS THE WORD TO ALL THE TRUCKERS SO THEY KNOW. TAKE A STAND AGAINST THIS COMPANY. THEY NEED TO BE PUT ON LOCK DOWN, INSTEAD OF USING THE TRUCKERS JUST TO PAY OFF THE LEASE PAYMENTS DUE ON THE RIGS.

THERE IS POWER IN NUMBERS, THE MORE TRUCKERS WHO COME TOGETHER ON THIS CAUSE THE BETTER OFF WE ARE.
