And when I went to there oreintation it was a cold room in Jan,01/2013 my room mate left the next night.cold air blowing out right on me.
Then in class Canada reginal was to get .41 cents pre mile and extra .07 going in to Canada and 20.00 dollars everytime you crossed the boarder.Later I found out you get one or the other.I never seen it.I got .11 pre dem and .28.5,so that made .39.5 cent a mile.Tolls are out of pocket and you get cash advances but it never comes back right.and you have to go out of your way to fuel the trucks,and anything weighs over 39,000 and now it 41,000 you have to get scale.I went 1 1/2 hours out of my way to scale and 5 hours to go back up deliver in Chicago,Ill I only got paid mile from pick up to delivery. and another time from Green bay,Wi. ..... to Montreal,Ca I drove 1081 miles got paid 902 in miles.
Brand new 2013 and my engine light never when out.miles on truck when got it was 235 and gave it back with 18034 when I quit.
Going in and out of Canada.I spend 12 to 30 hours waiting to cross be cause the costums or brokers don't care if you sit there.and this was more than once..then its 4 hour detetion time if u can get them to pay it.
Why I ended upleaving.the straw that broke my back IS:
I drove from Canada down to Indianapolis to take aload to Findlay,Oh on a thrusday.Had the weekend off.the Dispatcher Kelly gave me a hard time and this time I was to go to Achabold Ohio and pick up a load going in to Canada .
This load was to be picked up on 03/07/13 and deliver the sameday.I was still in Indy when I got the run.I told her I couldn't do it.
So now I'm on the road and the qualcomms going off.call me,you have to take this load,here I thought I could be going home I live near Toledo,Oh.
So I say ok,I'll take the load,it has to be delivered Friday.Frist they sent me the wrong broker so that night it didn't go though,the next day I went out of my way to fax it to them so there could get it to the brokers.
I got up to Huron,Mi to cross and sat there all day,Finally I had 3 hours left on clock I drove home and the next day took the load and truck back.I agreed to deliver the load on that day not a day later.If you be come a O/O they will strive you out after while.
And My fuel card never seem to work I alway had to qualcomm them..
There scamming the Goverment by hiring drivers and getting a kick back and also changing the trainning for the school back to the drivers,and for what they hire and who stay,twice a year they get these kick back and then let you go.to bring in new drivers and get this money the goverment should say if they don't say for this mount of time you sure to pay us back.if they paid by the hour this wouldn't happen.The fris has mat load I got I sat for 18 hours waiting to cross back to the usa,the second time over 30 hours,How can I make any money for the company or me.
