We talked a bit and then she recommended I have 6 bundles and that was all inclusive no hidden charges. I didn't make my appointment that day -i communicated to Andrea I ws trying to move away from using extensions and 1600 was over my budget. 3 days later I texted Andrea & asked her about the traks and that I was considering all my options. I asked if she could send me pictures of the way traks looked after installation. She responded that the traks did not come in the color of my hair and they are high and with all my traveling it wasn't an option. I responded asking her to change the bundles from 6 to 4 even if I had to go shorter and from wavy to straight. 1600 plus wasnt in my budget. I WAS CLEAR ABOUT MY BUDGET. She texted back the next day and said no problem.
2 weeks later I called to make an appointment and go over what iwas agreed upon via our communication after my consult. (2 )14 I ch (2 )16 inch. I asked her if she could email me the consultation questionaire she had from my initial i never gave me a copying I needed to see if anything needed to be changed.. She responded that it was misplaced she didnt know where it was at.
Mind you I have still it have not had one singleconversationwith Jennifer.
The day of my appointment I was met with two surprises 1) it comes out not only is Andrea not a extension specialist - outside of working and being trained by Jennifer ( for ONE year ) she has no formal training whatsoever. Jennifer said she chooses Assistants who are not interested in the Industry because she had a bad experience with an assistant taking clients with her when she left. As I processed this I felt sick to my stomache. In no way shape or form was this woman qualified to do a consulation.surprise #2) let me tell you i was totally not prepared for what Andrea said my balance was. There was a 600.00 difference. The last conversationI had with Andrea the four bundles was 1070.0 Jennifer had already for the day - I paid and texted Jennifer the next day stating I wanted some of the lenghth off and I wanted to talk to her about the charge at the same time.
From there everything went downhill quickly - my check bounced - yeppers and although I replaced it I had communicated several times I wanted to come in discuss my concerns and take care of the balance then
December 3rd I emailed Andrea asking her to communicate with Jennifer what we spoke about and the quote I was given. Nothing. Dec 12 I texted jennifer and asked if I could come in to have her look at my extensions and talk about the billing issues. She responded that the days I wanted she was going out of the country but I can schedule something for the following week. (have text)
I never heard from Jennifer again until a text she sent today. To date from 11/14/2012 until 12/29/ 2012 I have sent Jennifer 15 emails ( none got a response ) and 9 texts messages. I sent Andrea 32 texts messages from consultation through the whole proces until one day email bounced back as not valid and Andreas name was now replaced with Stephanie's name.
I even communicated if Jennifer would rather not see me due to the check that bounced ( which I replaced ) I understand, however, there was an issue with the billing and I paid for maintainence.
Today 1/5/2013 I get a text from Jennifer stating she to,d me she was going to be out of the country from dec 13 up until Januay 4th. and she just came back 2 days ago. Absolutely not true. She never communicated she would be out of the country from 12/13/2012 until January 4, 2013. And I'm pretty sure her clients that got extensions during that time didn't fly to a different country to have them installed. In addition, before Ashley disappeared i received a total of 4 texted from Andea and Ashley communicating Jennifer had forwarded my text to them and to find out what I needed. Seriously?? Let me get this straight - yiu can firward my texts to your assistants, post photos and comments on Facebook but yiu can't respond to any if my emails/calls/tests. It was already established Andrea isn't qualified to discuss anything with me and I don't know Ashley. Above that why didn't she respond to me directly?
This whole experience was disappointing. I really hoping this would turn into a long term relationship. im sure she is very good but w/me it fell short. To pass off an employee with no prior experience as a specialist outside if your salon is misleading & outrageous. Frankly, I believe Jennifer never intended to contact me. I received her text after I filed a complaint with the BBB. I will continue to pursue this matter , hopefully the owner doesn't continue to allow unqualified people do consults and that she takes responsibility for disputes. All correspondence is documented so I'm moving forward pursing this matter.
