1st off,let me say that I have no animosity towards these people, but when wrong is wrong I have to let it be know.

Johnathan and Jason or so I say J&J are a two headed snake. Johnathan does the scheduling and Jason does the paying. Its crazy when you go to work or meet two individuals who make your stomach turn so much because you never know wht they are gonna say or do. I am going to state solely facts and evidence. This is not an opinon nor notion put pure fiction.

I came into this company believing that this was a great company, highest commision(up to 160), no mangement( wait I forgot they added managers or should i say liars and spies) especially Jeff Chandler and Jerome.Get any phone verizon has and put it on ur check(at reatil price of course) and last but not least no taxes, get all ur money on one check. So why the complaint. Well where do I start. If you make 3000 in commish you get 1500. Whatever you make they will take up to 35-50% from what expected, and why and how can they do this, by simply saying phones are missing which makes no sense whats so ever because for one esn's get tracked and can easily be traced, for two they probably have insurance that covers lost or theft with a police report involved, and for three, anybody could have taken them from the person working after you, to the manager/spy/liar to themselves. So this is a result in robbery, and taking no loss but in some sense profit because they over price the phones at which they originally bought them for. I know because I know phone distrubutors and there pricing is way lower then what they tell us, and also when I mentioned that I know cheaper phone sellers and offered to save the company money they said that they dont want to change becasue they been doing buisness with that company for a long time. So again what person you know dont want to save money. And accessories, come on they do not pay 10 dollars for them, they pay 50 cent and they know it but again still making profits. Thats the key to there game.

A quick break and common knowledge, any company that specifies in making profits which is pretty much what all goals are for a company are to maximize profits, cut costs, and make things better than what really are. And there are two ways to do this, good or bad. Right way or wrong way, quick or slow. Cellular sales does it the bad way, wrong way, and quick way. They will steal from their employees, to maximize profits and cut costs, they will make the employee's pay for all missing equipment, they will make you get incorporated just so they can do take invasion and last but not least report to the IRS that you made more money than what you took home.

I know simply crazy. They owners of the company are druggies who needs to to steal from a employee to support their habits. And whatever you do dont get on their bad side. They will "black ball" you. Trust me I know, they will give you all bad shifts, and wont let you work at the better locations even if you stay 5 minutes away, but remember that the reason for giving people shifts is based upon where you live, and they will give you bad hours too. The whole reason for this was to make you quit or make no money because they wont power over your earnings. They will have their managers go inside your brief case and snoop through it like they did me, ( thanks Jerome), or they will have them steal or try to set you up ( thanks Jeff). And of course if they ask you to cover a shift you better say yes or your pretty much screwed.

At the end of the day I figured it out not before they took more than half my earnings, and sucked me dry with more BS than I could handle. So if your employeed by this company you better get your lawyers ready and get your sue on. I now I am.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Ceullar Sales is a SCAM

AUTHOR: Austin - (United States of America)

My name is Austin and I worked for the Texas market of Cellular Sales. It seems like there is a lot of mudslinging going on here, so I am going to give my HONEST testimony of the company and my experience working for Cellular Sales.
As far as the location/bad shifts/working in stores that have low traffic, All of it is true. "Boy, I work at some of the worst locations at our market. Why? Because I'm that good. I make money no matter where I go..." Well Mark the Writer, if you don't have anyone come in your store.. you can't make any money now can you? So you are an idiot. As far as you saying "Because I'm that good" Its that type of egotistical imagination that drove me crazy with the company. You guys are all talk until your numbers are down.. and they will go down once and a while.... thats sales.
But it is true, Cellular Sales as a company has zero to none advertising, so the traffic in some stores was pretty bad. As for the missing phone/equipment loss... It happens to everyone that works there. If any of your costumers return their phone, its up to you to sell it under three months or its your paycheck. So what do you have to do? Sell hardworking people used and abused phones that your former customers took back. They think they are buying brand new phones there.... but they aren't.
Ty Rankin, the share holder for the South Texas Market of Cellular Sales, is a sleeze ball and everyone at that market knows it. I worked over 50 hours every week. Always tried to keep my numbers up, always covering shifts... and in ONE DAY made the company almost $700. I remember on month my commission was over $5,000 in one month. Now, did I ever see any of that money? Of course not. In our market, if you don't reach 20 activations at the end of the month, they split your paycheck in half.... The managers, Ty Rankin, Stephen Counts, and Tyson, look for every excuse to take half your check into their six figure income. The think of smart ways to take money out of paychecks... No matter how good you are. If I open a store and there are phones missing from inventory because a sleezy sales deal went on the night before, then that phone also comes out of my check. I am a United States Marine/Iraq vet. And I currently serve at a Reserve Unit in Austin while I worked at Cellular Sales. Well, one month when I could not get my shift covered so I could serve at my unit the following weekend, I had no choice but to serve my country and perform drill. I got a phone call saying that I will be suspended for 10 days...  I was punished because I had to serve my country. There was nothing I could do. Ty and Stephen don't respect Veterans. Period.
I was fired from the company by Ty Rankin, who wasn't even man enough to tell me himself, he sent someone else to tell me he didn't want me with the company anymore... They didn't even give me a good reason why they let me go. I never got a last paycheck... I am guessing the took that too. Over the course of my employment with them I saw over 30 poeple leave the company. I only worked there for 5 months... Thats pretty sad. I am glad the company is now under investigation. Any if anyone needs a testimony, I would be happy to help.

Jeff 13 is a libelous joke

AUTHOR: Mark The Writer - (U.S.A.)

I wish I had read the entire group of rebuttals before posting my own, I would have saved myself time. This high caliber corporate lawyer is still pissed over something that happened years ago? Strangely, I just happen to know, you can call COOS (agent support) and find out if the handset has been activated or not. You cannot, however KNOW WHO SOLD THE HANDSET! (It says in eROES "Customer Provided Equipment" or "Upgrade with Discount" and there is not location code or sales force ID unless the activation is called in.) So everything you stated about being charged off for status 2 (by the by, most people reading this have no idea what that is so I'll clarify: status 2 is when you check a handset to yourself to sell. Status 15 on the other hand, what this person is actually referring to but couldn't figure out, is when a wireless device is returned because the customer opted for another one, or if they ended the contract before the contract terms.) is not only erroneous but almost amusing. I find it hard to believe that someone in your high state of being a lawyer who passed the bar exam in your state a mere year after leaving, would even bother still complaining. A year ago I was complaining about my first sergeant in Baghdad. Now if you ask me about him I laugh, I don't post it on an internet. I might even reminisce for a moment in angered nostalgia, but I don't make it a point to check on the same website to see who has replied to my post. If your a high powered lawyer, sue and shut up.

In the meantime, if i were a particular CEO, I would sue you for libel. (I apologize earlier when I said slander. A man in your profession would no doubt be infuriated by the "misappropriation of terms" so I humbly admit error while bashing your supreme idiocy and arrogance)

And for the love of God, if you're going to whine to a national website, learn to write better than my six year old daughter, and find a LEGITIMATE complaint other than they gave you bad hours and bad shifts and bad locations for taking a vacation. It's been my experience (although maybe I'm just better at selling than you) I took a two week vacation AND had a voluntary outpatient procedure, missing over 15 days between the two, and still worked the same shifts I worked before. It sounds like you're generally aggravated and wish to destroy what others can do in your undue jealousy, after failing repeatedly (we have YET to have a single rep charged off for status 15 or status 2 phones, so either you're doing something wrong or we're just that good).

If you're ever in the Kansas City area, feel free to look me up. I'm the only Mark in my market of the said company, or just ask for a manager.

America, the Irresponsible

AUTHOR: Mark The Writer - (U.S.A.)

I work with aforementioned company. I must say, J.H, if your writing skills parallel your intelligence, I am hardly surprised your commission checks were 1500 a month. I am one of the senior representatives of my market, and my managing partners have bent over backwards for me. When you said they charge you for missing phones, this is entirely true. THEY CHARGE FOR PHONES YOUR RESPONSIBLE FOR! If you exercise responsibility with what you've been given, or retain possession over, this never happens. It is an independent retailer, and we provide a genuine service for our customers. I give my cell phone number to each and every customer of mine so that they may not have to try and return, hoping for the same guy who treats them like the hard-working tax payer they are. I go out of my way to ensure customer satisfaction because I am 100 percent commission. The same company you're slenderizing - keep in mind that absolute garbage you said about drugs is both absurd and illegal to say without some sort of proof - recently made the 500 fastest growing private companies in Forbes magazine. (I will double check because I think it made several others as well, yet I hesitate to name anything specific.) I have yet to see a single dollar go unpaid to my account or others, INCLUDING the dirt bags of the company. There's always a few but very few in our market. We generally hire those capable of coping with the increased responsibility. Moreover, I would like to share a quote. You may recognize it, it's yours.

"They will "black ball" you. They will have their managers go inside your brief case and snoop through it like they did me, ( thanks Jerome), or they will have them steal or try to set you up ( thanks Jeff)."

My first thought is to have you completely re-educated.

Boo hoo. Bad shifts? That's why you're complaining to a national website? Poor locations? Boy, I work at some of the worst locations at our market. Why? Because I'm that good. I make money no matter where I go. So that leaves me to believe either you cannot sell or they thought you might spur or generate traffic. Secondly, The whole reason of this entire company of over a thousand employees is to make them all quit? They want every employee to "make no money because they wont power over your earnings"? Explain how a company who has these desires is the same company whose business model is being duplicated in many fields of sales. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I know I'm not, but this company nets well over 300 MILLION a year, yet they want each and every rep to "make no money" because their power over your paycheck is mroe important? Hmmm...

Here's my final word. I am an American Veteran of Iraq (29 months) and I learned in that time not to tolerate junk, garbage and people wasting my time. The only reason I've taken the time to write this is to defend a company that has treated me more than fairly. My managing partner let me borrow money out of his pocket when my youngest was born and i missed time from work. My other managing partner gave me an extra 500 bonus when none was necessary or warranted. And my bonus for this month will be well over 2 grand. Why? Because I ignore whiners like you about "bad hours and bad locations," And I make sales. You don't. Exercise responsibility and accept PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY. If you're having problems, join the army and they will straighten your ego out.

Oh, by the way JJ from Cali, as far as I know there is no market in California. The farthest west we go is Kansas City and parts of Eastern Texas. So I'm curious which region you moved from. Pray tell.

Say what you want, I moved on

AUTHOR: Jeff13 - (U.S.A.)

Its been over a year now and I am just responding to the rebuttal of B, nevets. After graduating from law school at Pepperdine University, landing a high power corporate job,and made some smart investments, I can honestly say I moved on. I defend my honor as any man would do but lets do the facts. I worked at North dekalb, north lake mall, and lenox. I was consistantly a top 10 top 5 kind of guy. So my numbers was never an issue. Deacts was never an issue, my missing funds can from missing phones. Randomly and very ironically. I know alot about the wireless industry and alot about verizon and pretty much every carrier. If I was to quote unquote take a phone, lets say 10 phones. Can the phones easily be tracked via ESN search with verizon custumer service. Yes it can!! And I did so. What did I find, well they was either active on a account of someone elses or wasnt activated at all. So when I call Custumer care and I got the info on the activated handsets, I found out that the were sold to them by managers in the company. How ironic, phones that was reported lost or stolen and was on my status 2's was activated by managers in the company and when I did that all they can say is ok, well what about the other phones that wasn activated. So here's my theory and hypothesis. Managers would steal phones and sell them to custumer who needed phones and blame the rep before or after. nd the phones that wasnt activated could possible be a straight set up. Lets be real here. Why on earth would anybody take a phone from the company on a constant basis as they would state which would be emphasized on your staus 2's and the phones never been activated. It does not make sense. Its like yeah I will take this phone throw it in a lake and get charge full cost on the equipment just for the hell of it. lol. lets be real here. its blatant that this is all a set up to make you quit.

I can easily take these guys to court, and excersize my skill and craft to end their reign, but for what. Their not worth it. Say what you want about me but until you have the guts to open your eyes and see wrong for what's it worth than your going to be stuck in a dead beat job getting screwed until you question and challenge there authority. than you will be on the other side and see it for what it really is. I would rather much see J&J get their act together and make it a fair game and put their selfish egos aside and do wahts right, and whats right is having a balance and a true understanding on bisness. Because being in a higher position made me see things clear and truly understand that if you help other people and help make your employee's better they would go to war with you, not just the managers but the company as a whole. Bring them up and they will bring the company up. Well good luck to all, I've moved on and lovin the sun.

It's all true

AUTHOR: Jj - (U.S.A.)

The original report is all true. The rebuttal filed by "B Nevets" is a perfect example of the brainwashing that they do. "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies." kind of mentality. If you're a good boy, everything seems like gravy, you get the good shifts, you don't ask any questions, and you're ok, until they screw you which they eventually always do. I was the Golden Boy in my market at one time, until I wanted to work less and take more vacations and my numbers went down. All of a sudden I was treated like crap and the "bad guy". We'll see how 'B Nevets" feels about it when he's been on the other end of the spectrum. It WILL happen.

The bottom line is this, NO company should be this shady and raise this many red flags.

#6 UPDATE Employee

Bullsh**

AUTHOR: B Nevets - (U.S.A.)

The report filed by "Jeff" is pretty much completely wrong. Wrong in that he makes the assumption that normal principles of business do not apply to independent contractors.

1. "I made $3000 in commissions and my check was $1500!!"
If you scam around and don't complete your sales correctly, you will lose the comms you thought you had. If you don't take care of your customers, they will cancel service and you will lose that money from your check. I'm pretty sure "Jeff" had more deactivations that anyone at this company during his tenure. We still get several customers each month that signed up with "Jeff" and canceled within 6 mos. Also, each rep in our company can see the status of every sale they have ever done. If your check doesn't seem right, you have every opportunity to investigate and find the problem.

2. "They charge us 10 dollars for stuff that costs them 50 cents!!"
It's called BUSINESS!!! I'm pretty sure nobody in the history of business has made money by selling stuff at cost. Even if they charge us 10 bucks for something, we can easily sell it and make $15 in profit. Hmmm....

3. "This is a company that specializes in maximizing profits"
...which, by law, is the obligation of any company to it's shareholders.

4. "I was blackballed"
Do what you're supposed to and everything will be okay. You never see the people in our company, who are leading in sales, complaining about how badly they are being treated. Blaming the stores you work in for bad performance is an easy way to rationalize things. Even if you're not the best sales rep in the world, it's not too terribly difficult to keep your bosses happy and make money.

5. The real "Jeff"
I'm pretty sure he was fired by a competing cell phone retailer for numerous scams (I used to work in the same company, albeit a different location). He was out of the Cellular Sales family after you guessed it: SCAMS!!! Phones turned up missing, people didn't get what they were promised, and he made a lot of enemies.

6. The nature of being an independent contractor
As an independent contractor for Cellular Sales/ Verizon we have a lot of freedom in this job. We're not locked into a corporate mindset of "do this or I'll get fired" like 99% of companies out there. We can pretty much do whatever we want, but with our freedom comes a lot of responsibility. You have to keep your stuff organized and make sure your phones are accounted for or else you will be charged for them.

Also, as we do not directly work for Cellular Sales, they do not have to 'directly' fire us. It's business. You can stop doing business with them on good terms or bad. Guess what happens if you leave on bad terms? Your last check will suck and you will be left disgruntled and upset! If someone tries to scam CS, CS will scam them back.

If you read a rip-off report for Cellular Sales, take it with a grain of salt. I'm happy with the company. I know the managers are not angels, but they know what they are doing and I'm not complaining.
