I had an account with cellutel for some years, the company had two locations, one in hunington park, and the other in hawthrone I was informed that the company would only have one store location now and that was in the city of hawthrone.
I discontinued my service with cellutel at the early part of the year 2003, because of my wireless cellular phone.
I always automatically check my bank account to make sure I'm balanced, that's when I found out this company fruadulently withdrew $175.00 out of my account through debit. When I had an existing account I would go into the hawthrone store and pay my bill using my atm\visa check card.
I'm not sure what's going with the business, but after calling my bank and my bank giving me this information, I called the store to try and find out what had happened, and there was no answer for over one hour and a half. I decided to take a drive over to cellutel and the business was closed, this was around 3:30p.m. in the afternoon. There is a sign that says open in the window but no one was inside.
I left went to my bank had my account number changed and received a copy of the report of where the company debited the funds.
Out of curiousity I called the number that cellutel is listed under 310-973-0332 around 9:00p.m. that evening and a male answered by the name Jose and said that he was checking customers accounts. He told me to call in the morning to speak with the manager by the name of John or Juan 11-26-03.
The way the outside of this company looks, it doesn't look like it's in business, and I'm thinking this is a way to rip off old and new customers by using there account numbers from there debit cards to transfer funds into whatever the company is doing.
I would appreciate it deeply to get to the bottom of this matter involving this company. I've been on strike and I can't afford to be ripped off this way.
