 Depending on how long you had left in your CONTRACT, this could be an early termination fee. Which would make sense. Were you out of contract when you cancelled your services or did you have a few months left. If you had time left on your contract then YOU will just have to pay the ETF or risk it being placed on your credit. It ALWAYS amazes me when I see a report like this. For some odd reason the American Consumer doesn't think past their immediate situation and consider little things like an ETF when they cancel any service. ALL services come with some form of service contract. Its meant to protect BOTH parties. The provider and the consumer. Since you do not give a date on the start of your services, I can only assume that the amount you are paying is the BUYOUT of your service contract. Did you perhaps forget that you still had a few months left?? Lastly, if indeed the issue is an ETF. Then EVERYTHING you posted is slanderous. You know since YOU signed the contract, YOU are responsible for the remaining time left on said contract. You spend a lot of energy calling THEM names over a situation of your own doing. Seems AWFUL nice of YOU to call them names and blast THEM for what is 100% YOUR FAULT!!!! The great thing about this wonderful nation of ours is if they just don't like the hate speech YOU have posted because of YOUR cancellation of service and bailing on the contract that YOU agreed to, THEY have the right to sue you for whatever they wish. The web by definition is a media outlet. When you start with the name calling on a PUBLIC FORUM, you put yourself at risk for a nice fat civil suit. Just becareful, I would hate to see them take you for everything you will EVER make, all because YOU couldn't keep your trap shut online. Especially when the final amount IS the ETF. YOU did this to YOU and YOU have slandered THEM because YOU forgot about the ETF. Must be nice to know that once again what happens to YOU will be of YOUR own doing. You claim that YOU were scammed and that Century Link is not being held accountable, yet WHO gets to hold YOU accountable for what YOU have posted?? This site NEVER removes a post once its been published. All YOU will have done by making your post is show that YOU are quick to jump the gun and blast when YOU don't understand a situation. THAT is NOT a mature way to handle situations. What you have done is pretty much make a PERMENANT record of your own stupidity.
