The old BAIT and SWITCH. Then they try to tell you they never had that discount program.

The first operator credited me and told me they made a billing mistake. next month they said they never had a $29.95 program. This was advertised everywhere! They had this program to match the cable company promotions.

The Truth

AUTHOR: The Truth Hurts - (United States of America)

I happen to be an employee of CenturyLink, but that is really irrelevant to this posting.  I do not work on the residential side.  If you have never gotten an introductory offer on a product, I wonder if you have ever had DSL, cable, internet, a phone, uh..what else?   This is pretty standard practice, particularly in industries that are very highly regulated, and the government allows them to offer promotions (temporarily) to help make them be competitive, as they have to also offer services to other people that normally resell their product.

Just a drop of truth for you.

And if $10 bothers you this much, don't get cable!!
