I forgot my wallet and had to write a check at Publix.  The bill was only $16.83.  My check was declined.  So I had to go to Customer Service counter, feeling very embarrassed because my check would not be taken.  They gave me a number to Certegy Check Services.  I called them when I got home and they said that I had an NSF check fee of $25 that I had not paid but could not accept payment. So they gave me another number to call. I called 800-873-5869 the first time and hold time was 20 minutes. The second number I was given was 800-352-5970 and held on the phone for 37 minutes.  I spoke to Virginia at Certegy Tech Services in Customer Care this time. She is the EPITOMY of poor customer services.  She was rude and less than helpful with assisting me in getting my transaction processed.  She eventually tells me "Sir we have no negative information on you. Is there anything else I can help you with?" with a sarcastic undertone!  Are you kidding me?!! I have waited online now for over an hour and you say I owe you nothing ???


My next step was to call the original number of 800-873-5869.  They said "oh you need to call the St Petersburgh office. You need to call 800-237-8764."  So then, I called them and waited on the phone for over 45 minutes! I got the same run around!!!!! 


I'm sorry but if Certegy won't take my checks because they say I owe a $25 fee from nearly 6 years ago, then they need to make it easier to pay the fee or at least send me a bill!  I ran my credit report last night and Certegy was not even on there! WTF??!


Because of the way I have been treated, I will NEVER shop at another store that uses Certegy Services! there are just too many places to buy  my groceries.

YOU SUCK CERTEGY!!!!!!!!!!!!
