Visit 1 from their service tech - they replaced the router Still slow, I called and complained again.
Visit 2 from another service tech - he replaced the router. But also found that there wasn't a strong signal at the street. He assured me someone would come within 2-3 days and fix the signal at the street. Still slow two weeks later, I called and complained again.
Visit 3 from their service tech - he confirmed the poor signal at the street. He called his supervisor, who also came to the house. The supervisor assured me that someone would be out to fix the poor signal at the street either that night or the next day. The supervisor went on to say that the service tech will give me his (the supervisor's) name and phone number before he left. Well...he didn't.
And now I sit here STILL with slow/no/sporadic internet service. And they can't tell me which supervisor was at my house nor why someone hasn't been out to fix the problem. And there's nothing I can do except sit here and wait. Except I don't know what I'm waiting for. I'm sure it's not going to be addressed.
So now my challenge is to get out of this contract without paying a penalty.
I hate Charter and never thought I'd utter these words - but I miss (((competitor's name redacted)))! I wish they serviced this area.
sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. They have lied to me so many times, the lies could FILL a New York City telephone book.
File a complaint with the FCC.
File complaints with your local county council, your Mayor's office, your public Utilities commission, and the BBB! DO IT NOW, DON"T WAIT!!!
The word of Charter is utterly unreliable. Don't take their word as fact, even for a minute.

You are just wasting your time trying to contact him.........believe me, I've been through it!
Hope you're able to cancel without too much of a "penalty" But consider that it may be worth the price to cancel and get reliable connection!
