Company is using fraudulent "Bait and Switch" tactics to lure customers to purchase their products. These people advertise that their "bundles" start at $29.99 for their "select" product and increase by $20.00 dollars with each pkge increase: "silver pkge" and then "Gold pkge". However when you decide to purchase the price changes to much higher; their excuse:  according to "customer service"; these prices are for each individual service: i.e. $29.99 for cable; $29.99 for internet; and $29.99 for phone with an additional $20.00 increase with each pkge. When I confronted the issue with the so called customer service rep he became verbally hostile and refused to explain why they were not honoring what their website advertised.

Beware everyone: this is both fraudulent advertisement meant to deceive the customer; and also can be extremely devastating to customers who are elderly or on fixed incomes as once they get you to sign the paperwork without being provided honest explainations for charges; they can really stick it to you. Beware! Beware! Beware!

Hello Sarah,

My name is Abby Catron, and I am a Senior Social Media Specialist for Charter.  I completely understand how important it is to receive accurate pricing, so I will be happy to resolve your concerns.  If you visit www.charter.com, the first offer that appears is The New Charter Triple Play starting at $29.99/mo each for 12 mos when bundled.  Essentially this is saying that if you purchase multiple services from us, they will be $29.99 each. That is $29.99 for TV, $29.99 for Internet, and $29.99 for Phone.  When you click LEARN MORE you will see that for only $20 more per month for 12 mos when bundled, you can upgrade to the Silver Triple Play.  Or for $20 more than the cost of the Silver Triple Play you can upgrade to Gold.  You can read the disclaimer here: http://charter.com/footer/footerPage.jsp?tag=DISCLAIM_GLOBALOFFER.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please send an e-mail to Umatter2Charter@chartercom.com with the name, address, and phone number on the account, as well as the best number to reach you.  Also, please put CharterAbby RipOff Report Sarah in the subject line so that I can keep an eye out for the e-mail.

Here is a link to the Charter Social Media Team webpage for your reference: http://www.charter.com/Umatter2Charter.

Thank you,

Abby Catron
