Chase BankOne, ripoff, fraudulant practices, raised interest rate to 29.5 Wilmingon Delaware

For 7 yrs we have had this credit account with no issues, no late payments. Last month they did not send a payment and I forgot them with all the bill shuffles. Well we got our statement with an overly inflated interest rate raised to 29.5% with a late fee and interest charges $197.70 on one part and yet the promotional rate had not changed on one portion. I called and was treated rudely and told that they had sent a letter back in Decemeber which they did not stating that they were raising the interest rate. I honestly feel that this is all a scam. Funny how the "letter" they sent was lost 5 months ago, the last bill never came and yet this month BankOne is now owned by Chase BankOne and our interest rate went sky high.

This is more than a rippoff~I would like to know if anyone has started a lawsuit against them as I would like to join in on it.
