On January 6th, 2012 I contacted Chase Mortgage Customer Service to request a payoff on our existing mortgage with Chase.  The company informed me it was their policy to charge it's customers $30 to fax a Mortgage Payoff Statement.   This is outrageous and I told them this is exactly why Americans are fed up the the big banks and that we would no longer do business with them.
