I have noticed for sometime how the programs that control the organization and display of account data ( in this instance I refer solely to checking accounts) shift the order of transactions in order to attempt to create scenarios in which accounts become overdrawn and subsequently being charged outrageous fees by the banks.
For a long time I thought perhaps I was being over imaginative until I started printing daily account reports ( one in the AM and one in late evening close to midnight) and low and behold there it was : a regular shifting of transactions sequential order especially dependent on the amount of money in the account. For example the closer the account balance got to zero the more manipulation there is, a transaction that would show on your report in the morning would suddenly be absent from the late night report.
Also in accounts that recieved direct deposits there would be a marked increase in manipulation of transactions within 48-72 hours prior to the deposit being executed. If you have accounts at any of the aforementioned banks, use your debit/check card with regularity, have a computer, have thought there was something peculiar about the fact that the bank always seemed to able to hit you with an overdraft fee no matter how meticulous your book-keeping, and are just sick and tired of banks and credit card companies using us all like endentured servants, then start accumulating some research to prove the banks fraudulent intent.
Get yourself in the habit of printing two account reports daily ( one at approx. 6:00 AM and one about 10-11:00 PM ). They take less than 2 minutes and don't have to be a full multi page transactional report but just the "screen" where your transactions from the previous day are dispalyed. Also if you've noticed the things I mention in this article or other similar occurrences please post it and/or contact me. We, the people must hunt down and punish the financial shysters who for years have utilized their enormous amounts of shysted monies to buy the prostitute-politician(s) who piece by piece took apart and destroyed the banking and insurance and financial regulations that took decades to enact.
The very regulations that allowed the middle-class to grow and be secure; and which gave the citizenry a modicum of protection. We, the people, must stop just plodding through our daily routines whilst the shysters suck more and more of our life blood with their arrogance and percieved omnipetance. Lets put the banks in check.

the information shown with the on line banking will show what has already posted to your account and the holds that are currently in effect. But how can the bank know about/show a check you wrote yesterday or an automatic debit you authorized for today? That is why your accurate register is the only true balance available for your account. The bank can use today's technology to show you what's already come through, only you will know what's still out there waiting to come through. We put men on the moon but we used simple mathematics developed thousands of years ago to do it. If you choose not to use the register, you are basically choosing to overspend your account and cause yourself fees.

And 'online banking' did not start in the 1960's.

I agree with the two respondents in that it would probably be easiest for us sit down every night and balance the old check book while the wife cooks dinner and the kids play hop scotch on the front sidewalk, but then I remember I'm not living in the 1950's. Surely with today's technologies financial institutions can provide us consumers with a form of online account information that accurately reflects the status of our accounts (not just an approximation as most do now). And to not only offer and provide these features / services (i.e. Online Account Information) as a selling point for new consumers, knowing they are manipulated and serve no purpose when actually disputing a transaction ,should be consider fraudulent business practices.

There's a segment about this in that documentary that includes testimony from an individual who claims that this is TRUE! Perhaps these same machines could be, and are being used by banks, huh?
Imagine if George W. Bush HADN'T been elected in that close race for President back in 2000? Maybe the USA would have NEVER gone into Iraq in search of those 'WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION' that were NEVER FOUND, huh?!!
Maybe the 'law' that requires Americans who earn a 'SALARY' or a 'WAGE' on their 'LABOR' to pay 'Federal Income Tax' is hiding under all of those weapons in Iraq, huh?

It's mind boggling that you will go through all those acrobatics to check your balance twice a day, but that you won't keep a simple check register to insure that you don't overdraw the account. And if you don't overdraw, it doesn't matter what order they post in.
