You don't expect for online airfare ticket companies to be crooked when they are attaached to airlines like Delta, Air Tran, Jet Blue ect.  I needed to get to ATL last minute on October 5, 2009.  I went to the cheaptickets.com website and found (2) one way tickets from Tampa to ATL for $79.  I checked this reservation three times to make sure the information for the request was correct.  According to the flight information for 10/05/09, I had 2hrs and 17min. to get to the airport.  I made the attempt to print the itinary from the computer I used but it would not.  The person said there was a problem with the printer so I wrote the information down.  When I arrived at the airport, I gave the ticket attendent the information  and was informed the flight was not for 10/05 but for 10/16!  That was not the date I requested and that was not date the date the search engine bought back!  The search engine bought back flights available on 10/05.  According to the 10/05 search results several airlines had open seating for that morning Delta and Southwest came back also but, the flights were a little more.  I had to drive to ATL!  When I got home I tried to print a copy of the online transaction for my bank.  My computer froze.  I went to the library to try to print it thinking something was wrong with my computer!  The attempt to print at the library was not favorable, it messed up their system! It can be assumed that the computer I tried to print the itinary from that morning, it was not the computer but the site!  The itinary request they sent to my e-mail address had no information of the day I requested.  I am not sure what they did to make it unprintable, but it acts like a virus when you press print!


The other thing you have to be aware of, my flight was with Air Tran.  When you go to your bank for a dispute, it is the airline the bank goes after for your refund, not cheaptickets.com! One more thing, check your bank statement because it appears separate from your booking a $38 charge with the explanation 'airline service fee!"  Somehow there is an injustice in this because the airlines trust these sites with their business.  I do not have the right words to say be careful, in these days of technology a person would hope they are choosing sites that are reputable and not trying to rip a person off for their money, and you can't even see the face of who is doing it!
