In March 2005, I purchased the Cheaptrips.com package for $104.00. I was not satisfied with the content, therefore, I returned the package to Cheaptrips.com the next day.
In April 2005, Cheaptrips.com contacted me confirming they'd received my package and apologized. At that time they offered me the package for $17.00 for which I declined. They indicated a check would be sent to me in 7-10 days.
Sept 2005, I contacted Cheaptrips.com to check the status of my refund. They apologized and stated the check would be sent immediately.
Dec 2005, still no check! Contacted Cheaptrips.com indicated my irritation and demanded a refund immeidately.
Jan 4,2006, no check...surprised? No! Contacted Cheaptrips.com, the person in the refund department said she would check the status of my refund and call me back the next day. No call!
Jan, 10, 2006, Contacted Cheaptrips.com requesting the status of my refund check. Again, the customer service representative of the refund department did not know and said she would call me back. I requested a manager. The customer service representative indcated a manager wasn't available and that person "wouldn't be able to do anything for you anyway."
She then indicated she didn't know when corporate would be sending the check but would call me back tomorrow to let me know the status of my refund. Needles to say, I lost my patience and demanded the corporate office number for which her response was, "I don't have that information". I demanded the address and her response was the same. I asked what state Cheaptrips.com was incorprated in and she stated New Jersey.
No longer is it about the money! I will provide complaint to the Attorney General of each state. I still haven't recieved my refund status - Jan 11, 2206
