Check Processing Bureau Enforecment Division trying to get money for an alleged check New york New York

I also recieved a notice from this company,they said I owe them 171.00 for a 46.00 dollar check written in 2001. however there are holes in their accusation,they said it was in my prior name,and I also never had a checking account at the time. The business they said it for is not even a business in this town.I also did not live in this town at the time of the alleged crime. I asked for a copy of the check, I was told by this rude man that the courts have it and I would have to get it from them. He also stated someone would call me back, they haven't and I don't expect to hear from them since they are liars after all.
