deceptive advertising!?

This person says that it is deceptive because the date of the newspaper clip was post dated to the mail in date. So what? especially that the company she is referring todoes trainings all over the US and Canada every single week. Could it be that the person that sent it to her saw it in another market and wanted to recommend it to you?
If the complaint is about the date of the evnt versus the date he/she received the mail, well I have in front of me a newspaper called the "Oranger" and it is a weekly paper that has events coming up for the whole week (all post dated). What's so unusual about that? Does this make the newspaper unethical?
Maybe it is not an individual that sent you this because you are such a cynic no one would send you such a newspaper clip then it must be a marketing gimmick.
But then what would make this "deceptive"? It would have been deceptive if it said "this works" or "this is the best you will ever see" etc. instead the note merely saidn"you've got to see this". What's the bid deal?
This shows how some consumers are totally messed up nowadays. This person is lacking judgement on the real issue is so superficial is trying to judge by the label.
If a marmalade jar has "pickles" on tyhe outside, it is still marmalade. But no you refuse to even look!
Jumping into conclusion about the organization based on advertising is the lowest form of accurate judgement.
This is like saying I don;t like Budweizer beer because the people Budweizer chose for their advertisement don't look honest. Budweizer is deceptive.
Or I saying something like: I saw on TV someone saying: :"You've got to see Disney Land on Christmas day, it's beautiful" and because it's not Christmas yet I say, they are deceptive because it may not be like years past!
Grow up and learn how to form an intelligent opinion by the content not the context and stop being so superficial. Maybe if you would've gone to see what this was all about you would've learned that marketing is the life blood of any business and no matter what they say or do it can always be misconstrued as deceptive or misleading. Best way to judge is to look deeper and understand what it's all about. I would say their only fault, provided it's true, the clip came in from a marketing company and not a friend, the mistake the marketing company made is not weeding you out as they lost money just sending you the info!
