Contacted breeder to purchase chihuhua puppy. Seller asked me to send her $200 money order to her husband's job instead of her home the location of her kennel. She receives only money orders no personal checks although purchase of the dog was to be made two weeks after the deposit. She also refused to give me her address in order to makeflight and driving arrangments. Finally after a week of emails and calls she called me to tell me the dog had sold. Yet the dog is still on her site with updated photos. This was to be a valentine's gift to my wife and she wasted my time for a week.

Eye on you

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States of America)

Carol you can pretend to be a trustworthy person and bullshit all day every day but a leopard never changes its spots.  You are still selling the same dogs for over 6 months now.  That is because everyone knows who and what you are.  Thanks to web sites like these even more people will know.  All I can say is that I am keeping an eye on you and will report any other suspicious activities coming from your camp.  Fly straight or stop scamming people!

Once again yours truly Robert

Still don't get it!

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States of America)

Dear Carol Reilly

I think its time to thank me for urging how to conduct busines on the web.  Nevertheless I am 100% times the professional you will ever be.  That is why I didn't give you my real name because I figured you were nutty enough to call my job...just like I predicted in a previous note above.  You are the most ignorant individual I have ever had the pleasure of talking to.  You were and are at the wrong and everytime you make a comment you further strengthen my point.  Why would anybody give you their personal info when you are more than capable of turning a simple transaction into a cluster F**K.  The bottom line is I hope nobody else does business with you for obvious reasons.  Lady you are as goofy as they come!  And I beg for consumers to stay away from you causeI think you do better with dogs than people.

Thank and always alert of your activities Robert

I have learned how to spot these scammers now

AUTHOR: carol - (USA)

He says he had a friend try to call me for a puppy. I am not selling my puppies to anyone who I am suspicious of because I love my puppies. I have the right to refuse a sale to anyone!  All responsible breeders do this.

let me clarify about the person writing this report. He lied to me about his vet. He said he has a puppy that he takes to this certain vet. I call this vet they never heard of him! He give me 4 different names while talking with him here is the list of names so other breeders can beware:

Harry Papas

Harry Panagopoulos

Robert

Bobby   (He got sloppy with the names) I think he is new to scamming.

He also said he was a county Sheriff. THAT IS A LIE!! I called the Illinois sheriffs offices and they never heard of this guy and told me I could sue him for slander and liable for the things he is writing about me!!

I never had a contract with him and I never even put the puppy on hold for him. We talked about the puppy and ways to handle a transaction when he lived so far away. the more things he said in his emails and the more I realized he was lying I knew he was a scammer and now he is mad that I did not take the bait. BEWARE BREEDERS THIS GUY IS VISCOUS!

I am now being advised on how to handle him and properly report him to agencies that work to stop scammers. If there are other people reading this think about it would you sell your puppy to a guy who gives you fake references and names and impersonates an officer of the law? Or would you give your address after unraveling all this information? I have a family to protect and I followed my husbands advice and that of a trusted friend when I was dealing with this guy. I am glad I did not seal the deal with him on anything!!

Still up to their old tricks

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States of America)

I had a friend of mine recently ask for a puppy and she gave him the same run a round.  Can't teach an old dog new tricks.  This lady has no clue how to run a internet business or she is the greatest scammer of all time.  Either way stay away and try somebody else...she is as goofy as her emails when dealing with her.  Carol if you have references put them online preferably with a pic of new owners and their happy pups...

Good luck to all that deal with her!!!

Bottom line is that I did not trust you and decided to play it safe

AUTHOR: carol - (United States of America)

If you would have provided a vet reference that was real instead of fake I would not have been so leery of you. My husband was the one advising me to give his work address to be safe. Reason is that every time we got an email from you your name was different and I wanted to unravel it a bit to see if you were a scam. There are scammers out there who try to send a money order a check and they send one to big opps then say wire back the difference then weeks later the bank finds out that the money order was a fake and hold me responsible. As I was talking with you all the things you would say fit the description of these scammers and I was learning and researching how to deal with them. NOW I know how to avoid them. Thank you. Just because you are writing on here does not mean you are not a scammer. You could just be bitter that I would not take your bait.

So, if you are not a scammer next time provide a real reference and you will not have any problems. I gave ALL of your names to the vet and they never had one client with your last names. That was all the proof I needed that you lied about taking your dog to this vet.

I am a good person and all of my past puppy clients are very happy with their pets and some of them have become my friends. I give my address out willingly to people who do not have suspicious activity.

Unethical practices

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States of America)

There is no reason for you to be upset when when on the contrary you ran me around in circles for almost two weeks ans I have the emails from you to prove it.  You asked me for a boat load of personal info day after day yet you couldn't give me your home address.  Furthermore you wanted me to send you a money order to an address that wasn't even yours.  Does that sound reasonable to you?  A transaction is a two way street and if you are not capable to offer the same type of personal info as the buyer you shouldn't be doing business on the net.  You also admit in your email that you wouldn't have cashed my money order which further proves you were leading me on when you had no intention to keep your end of the bargain.  A little advice, when your in the process of selling a puppy take its pic down or mention sale pending.  Nevertheless, you are very unprofessional and if you are still asking your friends on how to run your business it proves my point.  So I will not remove my posting on ripoffreport.com because I don't think its fair for others to have to deal with you and waste their precious time.  As for being a scammer how many scammers do you know that would spend $1200 to play and harass you!                                     Robert

This person would not provide any references to prove good home

AUTHOR: carol - (United States of America)

I was contacted by this person and many things seemed fishy.  He gave me a vet reference but told me that it was such a large clinic that they would not know him very well. I called the vet and gave both last names that appeared on his email. They have never had any clients with his last names.  Then I notice that everytime he emails a different name shows up in the from section. All of these things plus a few other keys proved to me that this could be a possible scam and I did not want this person coming to my home or buying my dog. So, when someone called and said they were coming to meet and possibly buy Gracie that weekend I told him that I found a local home and did not want to sell him the dog. I was much more comfortable and reserve the right to choose this anytime.  If anyone would like references from past puppy owners who have been to my home and know my practices, please contact me and I would be happy to give many references.

Watch out for scams. Many people try to call me and pressure to send a check or money order that is a fake that even the banks cannot tell.  Then weeks later the bank holds you responsible. So because of the overload of scammers contacting me and the research I have done, I no longer accept checks or money orders. Only cash and paypal.com
