My life could have been ruined by DHS/CPS had I been a weaker person.  The case-worker, her supervisor, the DHS attorney, the attorney ad litem(sp?), the Family Court Judge, and even my own court appointed attorney all have joined forces against me and are working toward a common agenda, though it took me awhile to see it, Anyway, I would love to join forces with you. THey are all the same worthless liers and child abusers, they only help perants that are just as crazy as they are to alienate children from their loving perant. My ex Melissa Leonard of Sag Harbor NY who was diagnosed with multiple mental disorders by forensic doctor has been abusing our children for 4 1/2 years and geting help from these scumbags at CPS , Kevin Carpenter, Elane Dickerson, Ed Hoope, Sheryn Byron who lied to the court favors the mental mother. Filing "FALSE" allegations none stop to stop me from seeing my children using our children to lie for this bitch of a mother who stole over $250,000 from us and admitted to it at her deposition, her crook of a lawyer Jim Nolletti said him self that its the mothers fault for causing all this,

Like William Shakespeare said "we have to hang all lawyers" he should add CPS to the list as well.

All accross America every state files complaints agains CPS , doesn't that say something  that they are corrupt and only help hurting our children just for their own gain!

Beware SUFFOLK County CPS are crooks child abusers that need to be hung one by one for the hurt and pain they cause to children.

These CPS scumbags file false allegations against me even when I have not seen my children in 3 months!!! Just because the mother (whos mentally ill tells them bribes blows them)  Whats wrong with this picture!!!

Rose- Many of the points you speak of in your letter are not associated with CPS. Friend of Court determines visitation between parents and children unless there is an open court case in Juvenile Probate court. Just because CPS opens a case on someone does not mean that every decision involving the children is determined by CPS. It sounds like the children were removed due to domestic violence in the home. It isnt anyone elses fault that you chose to have children with an abusive man. It also is not anyone elses fault that you lost your household possessions. It sounds like you have 6 children total. How many 'baby daddys' are there? Did it ever occur to you that you should only have as many children as you are capable of caring for properly? The vast majority of open CPS cases involve families with multiple children, numerous fathers, limited education and lack of income. The main Perps in CPS cases are mothers LTP's (live together partners) who mistreat the children in the home. Quit trying to blame everyone else and look at your own behavior.

First off CPS does determine visitation, by the way most cases are involed in juvenile court, who do you think your fooling? Did you know that last year the Supreme Court of the United States ruled ,that removing children from mothers who are victimes of domestic violence is unconstitutional? Since when did being poor constitute child abuse or neglect? From what I've read in you have a limited education yourself... Listen to your self sitting on your soap box twisting every word people write to fit your own belief system....Who made you the morale police and planned birth controll monitor? Our case began in Ector County; Odessa, Texas. This state agency apparently has not much regard for county lines, as our 2 yr old grandson has been transferred out of Ector County to his second foster "home", no less than 50 miles from Odessa.

The circumstances which invoked a CPS "visit" into our lives differ greatly from yours; however, unfounded reasoning, false claims, and unjust cause to continue to keep our children from us and their loving homes and families is as real to ALL of us collectively as it is to each of us individually.

To be suddenly forbidden to take care of your child or children is indescribable. The feeling in your heart surpasses description.

Noone on Earth has the capability to care for our children as we can.
We are raising them with love. We are teaching them, guiding them, feeding them, playing with them, caring for them, encouraging them and disciplining them With LOVE!

When THEY hurt, WE hurt!
We know when they are happy, We know when they are ill, we know when they are apprehensive, we know when they are actually scared.
The love we have for our precious children is our conscious guide in our raising of them.
It ensures our childs safety, his emotional, mental and physical well-being, it ensures that they are treated with fairness and loving kindness.

Our hearts filled with Love for our children, to knowingly or purposefully cause harm or distress to our children is unfathomable.
WE HAVE NOT COMMITTED ANY CRIMES IN THE CARE OR RAISING OF OUR CHILDREN!

FALSE CLAIMS, FALSE ACCUSATIONS, MISTAKEN PERCEPTIONS, AND SOMETIMES EVEN UNPREVENTABLE, UNFORESEEABLE TRAGEDY BRING THE Tx Dept. of CPS into OUR Lives.

I have no qualms about an agency that steps in on the behalf of a helpless child, to ensure that a child's safety, health and care are being held in regard. I rather consider myself an advocate of such an agency.

HOWEVER, once the family has been thoroughly scrutinized, every last possible stone turned over; (I am NOT using sarcasm here, just speaking from experience.) once the facts are laid out and investigated and reviewed; when there is no evidence of abuse, neglect or ill supervision; When it is sent to this supervisor, that supervisor, visited and revisited; still not one sign of abuse or neglect can be identified, RETURN OUR BABIES TO US! WE ARE THEIR SECURITY, THEIR FAMILIARITY, THEIR CARETAKERS, THEIR MOTHERS AND THEIR FATHERS, THEIR FAVORITE PLAYMATES. WE ARE THEIR WORLD!

THE TRAUMA BEING EXPERIENCED BY THE CHILDREN BEING RIPPED AND TORN FROM THEIR PARENTS, SEPARATED FROM THEIR SIBILINGS, TAKEN WITHOUT CAUSE FROM HAPPY, HEALTHY, SAFE, LOVING HOMES; FROM EVERYTHING THAT THEY KNOW AND LOVE, IS AFFECTING THEM BEYOND MEASURE AND SCARRING THEM FOR LIFE.

The empty, quiet house can render itself absolutely unbearable to the Mothers and Fathers guilty of nothing but loving and caring for their children. For innocent parents to have their GOD GIVEN RIGHT to HAVE AND LOVE,RAISE, PROVIDE and CARE FOR their child UNJUSTLY YANKED FROM THEM like they were crazed criminals, or worse yet, monsters who abuse, neglect, or endanger their beloved baby's lives is a heart gripping, mind boggling, gut wrenching experience!

CPS has and continues to overstep the boundries of it's intended use!
Granted, they do rescue children from horrible situations, and in doing so- are certainly saving lives; allowing children the opportunity to grow up in "normal" conditions, and even to find loving families anxious to give a needy child a home and family to call their own.
THAT is the vision I used to have of Tx Dept. of Child Protectiive services.
Unfortunately, there is a dark, flip side to this agency!

Instead of closing a case, and feeling a sense of gladness that the "would be" child victim of familial abuse or neglect is NOT aa victim afterall, but a cherished member of a loving family; and wishing the family well once it HAS established that there is NO abuse or neglect; as is in our case, and other cases that you are reading about here; It is a most unfortunate, disturbing, and unsettling fact that some CPS caseworkers seem intent on making the reunification of the Family as difficult as possible for people who have in fact been victims of tragic circumstance or simply falsley accused of abusing their children.
In the handbook of the TX Deppt of Family and Child Protective Services, it states reunification of familly as it's main priority.
Apparently, and sadly so, that is not always the case.

For those who are at a loss as of what to do in the event that your children are taken from their families and homes WITHOUT JUST CAUSE,
Please be advised of the following:

IF YOU HAVE A CASE RELATED COMPLAINT CONCERNING A DECISION BY THE TX. DFPS...

You can contact the DFPS OFFICE OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS .
They will research case actions to ensure that DFPS policy and procedure were followed and make recommendations.

(TIP) DO NOT contact the ADA for legal advise. They represent CPS .

Best of luck to any and all innocent parents and families who face a fight with DFPS resulting from false or erroneous charges of abuse or neglect.

Keep thinking postively, stay strong and keep standing and fighting for your rights and for the rights and wellbeing of your children.

Our baby was stolen from us on Feb. 19, 2007,
the day his 2 month old baby brother passed away in his sleep.
We understood the temporary removal of the 2 yr old sibling to be "standard" procedure, pending investigation of the "death of an infant".
* Toxicology tests run on both children.
** Results: NEGATIVE for intoxicants or drugs of any kind in either child.

6 weeks after baby's passing away~
***Autopsy Report:
Infant's Death reported to be a result of
NATURAL CAUSES.
**** CAUSE OF DEATH: Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Loss of a baby is heartbreaking at the most minimal descript.

Courtdates rescheduled,
appointed lawyer fails to notify and advise parent.

I drive 330 miles to accompany my daughter to court, after we sit in the courthouse for over an hour with no contact by her appointed lawyer... learn of rescheduled date ONLY when WE call HIM from courthouse...
He "forgot" to call her and tell her....

unable to attend the new date for court hearing, miss out on being heaard by Judge.

I Feel like this was a direct move by CPS caseworker to sabatoge me and my strong stance on this situation.
Having spoken with her on several occasions, she is aware of my stand and the valildity of "my argument" regarding bringing my grandson (our baby) home, back into our family and our home.

I firmly believe that what started as an agency created to protect the welfare of children has given in to the lure of money , thereby transforming itself from a" Protective Agency" into a "For Profit" Business.

I firmly believe that the dollar bill has won out over the lives of our children, and they have become the pawns in a sick struggle to gain another state buck!

I Love my family and refuse to stand idely by and let the DFPS play Monopoly with our lives and the tender life of my beautiful, loving grandson.

August?! BAH!! I am willing to bet my life that I gain audience with a Family Court Judge, and that this case will be closed and we will be a 'complete" family real soon.

COMPLETE that is~ to mourn together, at long last, as a family joined by love and Our FAITH IN GOD, the loss of our dearly departed, and eternally loved, forever missed Baby Brother; Cherished Son, Beloved Grandbaby Boy.


The next hearing is scheduled for August of '07.

Unable to give in to "submission" just because "they" say so,
I am taking my case to a more "noticeable" level ;
I won't settle for playing "phone tag" with a caseworker who is mostly unresponsive and is obviously insensitive to the
concerns my daughter and I have for my grandchild's welfare and well being.

"Child Protective Services" is not acting with my child's best interest in mind. That much is obvious.

I stand now in the best interest of my beloved baby, to defend for him- the rights for which he cannot defend himself, to stand strong and fight for my rights as a loving parent, and I stand for all those who are free of guilt and are truly innocent of the charges that have their families carelessly, needlessly and so painfully torn apart.

my children were also taken from me for supposedly failure to protect them from their father. however when the complaint was filed it was only against the father and my children were placed with their aunt untill i was released from the hospital. however it didnot turn out that way.i had to go to court and was going to get my children back untill my ex the father lied about something next thing i knew i had to go to parenting class domestic violence group counseling etc. i also was told i could not return to my home whi ch was where my ex also lived. so i had to find a home get all new furniture a job car etc. he got to keep everything that was in the home i had to start all over.well when i went to cps and ask to see the report i was told that i report was never done the case was closed denied because there was no reason for a case against me to be opened,but yet my kids were taken my family was torn apart for 5 years and why?to make this story short i mean there is more to tell however, but the father has unsupervised overnight vists the case has been closed i got 2 children back out of 5 and he has 1 of the 5 the other 2 are in the care of my oldest son who has limited guardianship which whom i have to pay him child support for those 2kids.however how can the father still have vists if my kids were taken for failure to protect them from him can anyone answer that one?my 1 son i got back suffers from seperation anxiety and is in counseling and on medication my 1 daughter also is in counseling.any comments on this?PLEASE DONOT RESPOND IF YOU CANT BELEIVE THIS OR THINK THERE IS MORE TO THIS THAN WHAT IAM WRITING OR IF YOU feel iam not telling the truth because , IAM IT HAPPENED TO ME AND ALOT OF PEOPLE DIDNT BELEIVE IT EITHER UNTILL THEY THEMSELF READ THE REPORT I SHOWED THEM.
