I've learned years ago "buyers beware". I failed to heed the advice and have learned the hard way. Despite the pleasant adds that Choice Home Warranty will be there for you in your time of need, the reality is they will find any and every technicality to deny payment of a claim. What you receive for your premium is nothing but frustration and disappointment. Get this, they cover the "plumbing system" but not valves. Guess what, these are the components that fail! An automatic garage door sensor failed. You guessed it ... not covered. Would need to be a power failure to the device. Somehow I suspect the electical switches and outlets are not covered as part of the electrical system. In eight months I have been denied on three of three claims. On a fourth (a dryer master panel failure) they found some way to wiggle out of most of the repair expense and covered less than 25%. My suggestion, save the premium in a rainy day account to use when you need it. Otherwise you will waste plenty of time arguing with customer service reps who will read you esoteric terms & conditions that effectively state they are responsible for nothing but taking you money.
