I don't even know where to start this rip off report. I can only speak about my experience from March 27,2009 until February 11, 2010, these are the dates I worked there. I can tell you I came home crying because of the insanity of that horrible job. It cant even be considered a customer service job because the CEO does not give you any tools to actually give the customers support. Can we pay for a tech? "NO" Can we send the product? "NO" I can tell you that ChooseDirect.com(please remember that it is now DIRECTTOHOMEAPPLIANCES LLC) was in a horrible financial state. I can tell you customers were getting burned by their sub par hot tub. I'm using the word "WERE" because I am no longer there. But February 11,2010 wasn't long ago. I can certainly tell you that the CEO Steve Barbarich knew of all of this. The last weeks I was there we did not have a credit card processor which means some customers sent in a check(please don't ever do this). Those checks that customers sent in meant to pay for their grills, hot tubs and fireplaces went on paying bills and making payroll. Steve Barbarich just banks on it getting busy from April and on. He feels he can order their product when it finally gets busy.

At the time ChooseDirect.com owed customers and techs money for warranty work. If they have been paid by now, I don't know. What was it that I recall he said at a meeting "Thats not a priority." Because at ChooseDirect.com what is a priority? What is it Steve? Customers getting burned, getting the wrong hot tub, selling an illegal product, not getting your product. Tell me what is a priority? I'll post this for now, I'll be back tomorrow and everyday after that to let you know the REAL DEAL at DIRECT TO HOME APPLIANCES LLC, CHOOSEDIRECT.com. Customers, you know who I am, ask me whatever you want!

THANKYOU LISA ROUNDTREE FITZPATRIC  FOR STRINGING  ME ALONG THINKING I WAS GONNA GET REFUNDED BY CHOOSEDIRECT.COM.  I HOPE U SLEEP WELL THINKING OF HOW MANY PEOPLE U HELPED DEFRAUD OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY.  U TOLD ME U DROVE A BMW IS THIS HOW U EARNED THE MONEY BY STEALING FROM HARD WORKING PEOPLE. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL COME BAC TO BITE U AS I HAVE NOW NAMED U IN THE CLASS ACTION SUIT WE HAVE GOING AGAINST YOUR BOSS.  YOU R IN COLLUSION WITH SB  TO DEFRAUD. What do you think Ive been doing? I was unemployed for months after leaving that mess of a company and trying to help others. Do you think Choosedirect.com hasn't tried to scare me into shutting up? I will not get into detail here about that. Believe me when I tell you that I am doing what I can for prior customers. I never swore to anything as you state. Furthermore, Steve would tell me "I'm sending checks on "Tuesday." then change his mind and never send checks or pay for work techs did. I would just tell the customer the info Steve told me. I later on figured out that no matter what he said it wouldn't happen. Just so you know I moved to California not knowing anyone and ChooseDirect hired me, little did I know this would be the type of company Id be working for. It was not my intention to work for this type of person. I am not rich by any means, I didn't make a dime by ripping you off. I thought I was working for a regular company until I received so much evidence that it was bullshit. Choosedirect.com may not have the money to pay you back but believe me they had the money to pay a lawyer to write a bullshit letter to threaten me and other prior employees who have spoken out.

You are as much to blame for misrepping a product I talked to you on a daily basis. You lied to me over & over.  These few words I hope never ease your guilty feelings that you must have from being a part of stealing peoples hard earned money. You are like a shoplifter you should have a record on your preformance for this company & you also should be held responsible. SB lied & you swore to it.  GO BACK TO WORK THERE & GET MY MONEY BACK FOR ME. WHISTLE BLOW FIND A WAY TO MAKE THE COMPANY RESPONSIBLE YOU HAVE PRIVY TO ALOT OF INFO THAT COULD HELP US VICTIMS. Still waiting for my Spa from ChooseHottubsdirect.com

I have been reading many bad reviews over the last few days with a sinking feeling in my stomach because I too ordered a Hot Tub from this company.
I ordered in October with a delivery date in January, then it became February, then March and now supposedly it will be April. From reading this report I sounds like my Tub might not have even been ordered yet. And what about the UL certification? I just don't know what to do, I order online all the time and have never had a bad experience.
Micaela, what would you do in my situation? Do you know if anyone has been checking with a laywer yet or started a criminal investigation? How many people do you think have been scammed?
HELP!!! I am hoping more people will read this and we can get together!!!
