You're not being honest about this.

You're not being honest about this. No such statement is anywhere on their website, let alone on the sign up forms.
You have to complete 2 forms on the website to obtain the free credit report.
Page 1 of the sign up is your name and address information.
Page 2 of the sign up is where you create a login ID, password, and provide credit card information. Page 2 has these statements CLEARLY on the page ABOVE the area where you enter the credit card information:
""Credit Card Information
Your credit card will not be charged during the free trial period. However, valid credit card information is required to establish your account.
This offer is not related to the free credit report that you are entitled to under Federal Law. To obtain that free report, you must go to www.annualcreditreport.com. Remember, all free credit reports are not created equal. Get your free credit report and score from the leading provider of consumer credit monitoring products by clicking submit below.
Payment Information
When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within 9 days of enrollment, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership. If you are not satisfied, you can cancel at any time to discontinue the membership and stop the monthly billing; however, you will not be eligible for a pro-rated refund of your current month's paid membership fee.""
This form makes it CLEAR that you will be charged $14.95 if you do not DISENROLL from their credit monitoring service during the trial period.
Also, their homepage has these statements (before you ever get to the sign up forms):
""IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period**, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership.
ConsumerInfo.com, Inc. and Freecreditreport.com are not affiliated with the annual free credit report program. Under a new Federal law, you have the right to receive a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies. To request your free annual report under that law, you must go to www.annualcreditreport.com.""
At some point the credit card companies are going to stop granting charge backs to folks who use this service.
You need to READ everything on a website BEFORE you accept any offers from ANY business. I don't like their "freecreditreport" domain name but the problem you and others seem to have is that you folks DON'T READ.
And then you file a ripoff report and LIE about what the form pages state.
Who's the ripoff here?

They are laughing all the way to the bank...In a nation full of Homer Simpson's...it's like taking candy from a baby.....
In a perfect world where had a functional government that actually cared about the citizens of this nation vs. the big corporations....behavior like this would not occur....but, since we live in a nation full of Homer Simpsons who don't take the time to read or look beyond the latest fabricated political distraction, we keep ending up with corporate-crony politicians who allow this sort of behavior to continue.....

What you wanted was annualcreditreport.com. This is the website where you can get your yearly free credit report.
Cancel quickly or they will keep billing you each month.
