I was ripped-off by these same crooks via the telephone. I, like so many others were assured that I would not be billed one red cent over the price of the free trial offer costs (sh&h)$9.95 or something like that. The CSR that took my order over the phone ...way back in Nov. 07, reassured me that she heard my request not to be billed for any of the other products or services she was trying so desparately to sell me.
Long story short; I never received any products.... forgot all about this since it"s been...oh!....almost 4 months ago; still haven't received anything from them yet..... had the nerve to up and charge my account $69. a few days ago (04/11/08). It took me exactly 2 days to track down a legimate #, and then it was only a recording prompting me to enter a phone or credit card # to receive my refund. I also had to call Cigarest back to tell give them an old fashioned thrashing for deceiving me on the 3 previous calls to them, "playing dumb" as to how they were affiliated with this scandalous company.
To make matters worst; I found out that they have been trying to withdraw amounts as high as $206. from my account every month since Nov. 07. Once the saw that I never had that much in my account, here comes a $69. carge they told me was for the annual fee & subscription to some news letter...."go figure". I have never in my life seen so much premeditated fraud in my life!
Needless to say, I have retrieved my money back, but I guess the wisest choice would be to cancel my card to be one the safe side....This was my absolute "first & last" time I'll ever order anything over the phone & especially the internet. This company was the only one I'd ever given my cc info to; to this day, have yet to receive anything from them, never agreed to anything other than the free trial, (spoken or written), and I feel financially "raped." It cost me more than just money. "Don't forget me when "yall" get those crooks"!
