I was bidding on a vehicle through EBay from this seller. Once the auction was over, the reserve price was not met, so I called Mr. Guy Carnazza, who owns the business and has listed his cell phone on the EBay listing, to speak to him about negotiating a price for the vehicle. I do not reside in the U.S., so I tell Mr. Carnazza that myself and business partner will travel to the U.S. to get the vehicle ourselves, he says that his reserve price on EBay was 25,000 USD and that since my bid was 21,000, we could "meet halfway". I said I would call back, spoke to my associate and called Mr. Carnazza within 20 minutes. He picks up the phone, tells me to wait and somebody else picks up the phone, the other person tells me his name is John, that he is "Guy's brother" and that they will not sell the vehicle for less than 28,000 USD. I call my associate and tell him to call the dealership himself, when he calls he says that Mr. Carnazza had understood I was talking about some other vehicle but that the vehicle I was talking about (2008 black Ford Expedition Stretch SUV) was 35,000 but that they could go as low as 28,000. He agrees that we will be visiting the dealership on Wednesday morning (Jul 10th), bought two airline tickets from Santo Domingo to Newark (about 1,000 USD) and showed up at the dealership as agreed. When we arrived, Mr. Carnazza was jumpstarting the vehicle, and he didn't exchange a word with us, and went back into his office without notice. He started the car and had someone drive it somewhere, supposedly to put gas in it. After several minutes, with both of us standing outside, we went into the office and tried to speak to Mr. Carnazza who was acting as if there was nobody there. When we told him that we felt that they had problems with their customer service, all he said was "you don’t have to buy from the car if you don’t want to". Needless to say, we said thank you and left without completing the transaction.

Although my associate and myself spent over $2,000 to fly up to Newark and then fly back down to Miami, where we were supposed to drive the purchased vehicle, our intention is to leave a record of the poor customer service and warn prospective vehicle purchasers of this business's owner inappropriate customer service and carelessness, lack of seriousness when negotiating and complete absence of consideration given the fact that we actually flew from another country to be treated like we were asking for a favor.

We received a call from a "Ricardo" inquiring about a 2005 Ford Excursion that we have for sale on Ebay. He did not speak English very well and asked the price of the vehicle and was told $25,000. He said that he had been bidding on it, even though we have no record of his account bidding on our vehicle on Ebay, and asked if we would take less for the vehicle. I asked him, "Why don't you come here, see the vehicle for yourself and we can discuss?"I then received a calll from "Dan."

Dan asked about ANOTHER vehicle we had on Ebay which was a Ford Expedition, I told him the FORD EXPEDITION is $ 28,000. I then received another call from Ricardo, telling us that he wanted to fly in and look at the vehicle. I asked which one and he said the Ford Expedition. To make sure we were talking about the same vehicle, after originally asking about the Ford Excursion, I said "the black Ford Expedition?", He said "yes." I told him "that vehicle is listed at $28,000." I asked when he was coming and he said he would "call and leave a message of when he was flying in from DR." He eventually called back and left a message and phone number which I tried to call 4-5 times, but since I don't speak Spanish and the voice mail box was in Spanish, I just left a message asking when he was coming to NJ. Wednesday, July 10 2013, at 1:15pm, I was in the parking lot moving a Tri-Axle Dump Truck to get to the black Ford Expedition, which the battery was dead on. We put a charger on the Expedition and as I was in the dump truck, 4 people pulled up into the driveway in a Ford Explorer. Two of them approached me, in the truck, and asked where Guy was. I said "My name is Guy. Can I help you?"He introduced himself as Ricardo and his friend as Dan. I explained to them the Ford Expedition was right there, that the battery was dead and I was trying to charge it. I then told him that "I tried calling the phone number you gave us 4-5 times, did you get any of my calls?" He told me that number no longer works and he had a new phone number, a 917 number, that he did not give me. I then said "Okay, well I'm going to need a few minutes to get this vehicle running." I then moved the dump truck, I started the Ford Expedition, took the battery charger off and pulled the Expedition up to the garage doors, where I noticed the gas gauge was below Empty and the vehicle was running on fumes. Ricardo, Dan, another man, and a young woman all got in the back of the limo with all of the doors open. I walked into my office and told my associate, Phil, to "go fill the vehicle with gas and come right back and that I would man the phones." Phil proceeded to go outside with a dealer plate, which I followed him. He told all 4 people in the limo that we had to put gas in the car and he would be right backin less than 10 minutes. They shut the doors, we put a dealer plate in window and Phil went to the gas station. I went into my office because the phones were ringing off the hook. About 5 minutes later, the young woman appeared in my office door way. While I was on the phone, I signaled for her to come into my office. She came in and stood there until I finished my conversation with a sales rep in Florida. I hung up and asked how I can help her, she proceeded to lip slap me by saying "You know Guy, up to this point I'm not impressed with your customer service." I said, "Excuse me? I'm sorry, but who are you?" She says, "I am Ricardo's Sister." I then said, "Well I'm sorry," she interrupted by saying "I don't know what is going on. You left us in the parking lot. We didn't know what is going on." I said " Well if you feel you are not being respected here, in some sort of way, then you do not have to buy this vehicle. I am not forcing you to buy this vehicle." She said "Excuse me?" I then repeated that "No one is forcing you to buy a vehicle from me." She walked into the hall way where the other 3 gentlemen were standing and they all got up and left. As they walked out, I heard the unnamed gentleman mumble profanities about myself. Phil, my associate, then drove back into the parking lot with the Expedition as they got into their Ford Explorer and left.

As a small business owner that's been in business for over 32 years  I've had people come from countries all over the world to buy my vehicles.  Normally when a customer sees a vehicle on ebay and they call up and give us an email address, a working, phone number as well as a fax line so we can keep all forms of communication open.   We provide them with wiring instructions so they can leave a deposit on the vehicle if they are seriously interested.  Neither Dan or Ricardo provided us with any of that information. These people were never really serious about buying either of these trucks and wanted to see how low of a price they could get these trucks for and when they could not get the number they wanted they're looking for any reason not to buy, which begs the question why are you flying from Santo Domingo for a vehicle you're only halfway interested in if you weren't already planning on coming to the states?  You don't stay in business for over 32 years by being a bad salesman, or by ignoring the customers.
