Citimortgage Foreclosure of home Internet

First of all came across this site by checking a zip code of certified letter for me.

This past April I sent into Citimortgage a payment on my home loan.I was behind in my payments. It never cleared my bank.

About one month later I got the check back with a notice that my home was in foreclosure. I had never got any notice about this until the returned check. I have since learned that my home was place in foreclosure one day before they got this check, which was March 6th and the got the check on March 7th

To this day I have not recieved any formal notice of foreclosure and am troubled that they refuse to accept my payment that I had submitted. Currently working with them on a loan modification but even that has not gone well. Got notice from them to make 3 payments starting this January. The amount they asked for was crazy. Over 3 grand each month for the 3 months and then they will give me more details of the modification. Today got notice cancelling that modification and now they want me to send in only $730.00 each month to get into the modification. I had also got 3 letters before this saying I was denied modification. One of them saying I was denied because citi no longer held the mortgage. All I can say is to beware of Citimortgage. Hopefully I will have the time to contact them about all of this but with 2 jobs and a wife with a serious illness I have not had time to get anything else done.
