We recently purchased a piece of furntiture and accessory for our home from City Furniture.  The piece of furniture was delivered two weeks prior to the other piece, and we picked up the second piece one week ago.  The first chance we had to put it up was this weekend, and we noticed immediately it would not fit.


When we went to try and return or exchange it City Furniture refused under the auspices of their policy which states we have only 48 hours to make a return.  In addition to this, we were lied to by the store manager who said he could not override the policy, which when we called Customer Service were informed that it was at his discretion to allow the return or exchange.  Pls. bear in mind we never even removed the wrapping from the piece.


We are very disspointed in their customer treatment and will not purchase from City Furniture in the future given this apparent lack of customer support.


I would never recommend this store to any of my friends or acquaintances.

The customer received their first delivery on 8/29/10.  The bed rails were incorrect and we advised the customer theat we could deliver them the next day.  The customer accepted and signed for the rest of the delivery.  She called later that evening and said that the color of the bed was too dark. 

We delivered and installed the bed on 8/30/10.  The customer should not have accepted the rest of the delivery if she was not satisfied with the color.  She accepted and signed for both deliveries.  The customer's invoice and delivery paperwork both state "all purchases once delivered or picked up are final".  The customer signs just below this in the showroom at the time of purchase, and after each delivery (she signed this 3 times).  We advised the customer that she could relselect for different items for a delivery fee only (and waive the restocking fees).

48 Hours to return merchandise

The customer signs their invoice on the day of purchase and the merchandise release form at the time of pick up stating "all sales final".  In the event the customer is unhappy with purchase they have a 48 hr window (with fees) to reselect.

We are very clear.
