The building division at city hall sent us a letter saying we had some violations with our property. I read the violations and was shocked at the accusations stated on the list. Yes, there was a list of violations. So. I call the building inspector listed on the letter, he doesn't return my calls. I called our Alderman and sent her an email. She calls me and is confused, also. The violations are, tuck-point at top of parapet, milk crates stacked by our dumpsters, unlicensed derelict vehicles, chipped faded paint on our fence, un-paved driveway. None of these violations are true! We own a home business, why would I have such violations that could cause us to loose our business license? Our driveway is not paved, it's been this way for more than 25 years, longer than we have even owned the property, it's "grandfathered in". The rest is just blaten lies! We own 3 vehicles, all 3 are licensed, legally, and have valid insurance, and can be drove at any time we choose! Our fence is black rod-iron, it's very old but not chipped, or faded paint. We don't have an alley, so we have to wait for bulk trash pick-up. We had stored some milk crates by our roll out trash dumpsters until bulk trash, which is only once a month. So, come to find out, there was not a work order attached to these violations before the letter was sent out. The building inspector had not even come to check out any of these violations before signing his name to the letter. It states in the letter to call him and he will come and discuss the violations with you. So where is he? He finally drives by. That's all he did, he drove by. He didn't stop to talk to us or nothing! I called our alderman to tell her did not stop to talk to us, haven't heard a word from her! I can't get anyone to come here or return my calls, including our neighborhood stabilization officer. What kind of system are they running? I know who did this, and if this inspector got his palm greased by the person that's trying to start trouble, I will find out and I will do something about it. I will go to all the news channels with this story and the news paper. Everyone in the city of St. Louis will know not to trust anyone at city hall. They already give you the run around when you go there for anything, but this is stupid. I pay their salary, if you are on the take, this is not good, you are corrupt just any other city official.
