Claire Nickelson Danes by Claire Liar and Dangerous Puppy Mill Breeder Garden City, Missouri

Please do not buy a Great Dane from this woman!  She is a liar!  She posts her puppies on sites like Craigslist with sob stories about how her family just can't keep "this puppy."  She is in fact a puppy mill breeder.  Her dogs do not look at all like how a Great Dane is supposed to look, and she does no health testing to ensure good, quality dogs.  If she can lie about why she has a puppy, what else is she lying about.  She is completely uneducated about the breed to, and therefore unsuspecting owners who follow her advice are putting their new puppy's health in serious jeopardy.  She requires spay/neuters at 15 weeks of age.  This will cause the puppy to grow far too tall because the growth plates were not able to close naturally.  This will cause early onset arthritis and it also increases the risk of bone cancer because the bones are less dense making it possible for cancer cells to grow and multiple much easier.  She also breeds different colors together to create "unique colors."  These "unique colors" are not recognized by AKC, and so she must register them as CKC.  The CKC registration is a joke and hold absolutely no value.  Paper Registration alone does not mean that you have a well bred, quality, healthy pup either.  In fact, breeding these unique colors is actually very irresponsible as it can produce the "lethal white" gene or in other words an all white great dane.  These Danes, if not born dead, have significant health problems not limited to almost always being blind and/or deaf.  They are also prone to horrible skin problems and weakened immune systems (so they catch everything).The information related to health is clearly documented in veterinary medical journals to verify that it is correct.  Please stay far, FAR away from this woman and look at a responsible breeder.  There will not be a happy ending with these puppies.  Only heartache and a huge financial burden on your family!!
