I've seen hundreds of complaints on this comapny, and am experiencing the same frustrations as everyone else. Apparently credit cards companies do not consider these unauthorized charges as fraud if you have ever given them your credit card number!!! So, they can do whatever they want with the blessings of Visa! According to the customer service rep I spoke with, in the credit card world, anyone can make charges to your card at any time, unless you try to dispute it. Short of some regulatory legislation against this type of consumer rip off, It is up to you to file a claim every time they charge you, a time consuming proposal at best. I have filed a claim with the FTC, I don't know if it will do any good, but I feel if more people do this, and the Feds get involved, these crooks may finally go out of business.

I got on this site to look up another company when I came across these complaints about Closet Closeouts of Inwood. I live around the block from this very small store. They have been in business for about 5 years. I've only seen 5 or so people ever enter that store as customers, so I was wondering HOW they paid their rent and had shiny, new SUV's. Now I know! They are busy ripping people off! Somehow they got your credit card data (so you better check your credit reports and put a fraud alert on them). Make a report with the Office of Attorney General in New York at: 1-800-771-7755

You will get no satisfaction from the FTC. You WILL get help from the Attorney General's office though! Make SURE you place fraud alerts on your credit reports and even call the police to make an identity theft report. THEN the credit card companies will listen to you and reverse the charges if you show them PROOF that you have filed reports.

I hope you folks can get your money back and all of this straightened out! Shame on them!!!
