my mother purchased a mobile home from clayton homes 2 years ago. it was financed through vanderbuilt mortage who is owned by clayton homes. everything was fine until she suddenly passed away march of this year. immiediatly my sister and i started recieving harrassing phone calls and certified letters from 21st mortage, also owned by clayton homes. my sister and i hadnt even buried our mother, and they wanted us to send them her trailer payment by phone or they threatened to forclose. my mother was a very responsible woman. she had excellent credit and took very good care of her finances. my sister and i feel its very strange that she financed her trailer through vanderbuilt and now 21st mortage has the note???? ever here of home buyers protection? could documents be lost by passing the mortage? i guess we,ll never know because moms gone and them crooked sob,s arent about to tell.... by the way its may 6th an except for sat. and sundays, we get at least one phone call per day from joy kephardt wanting us to send them money.. i wouldnt buy a thing from those greedy *******s... come and get it already.....

HI..If the home was in your mothers name and she has passed away then the insurance on the home should cover the cost. They may take the home unless there was a beneficiary noted on their account papers you may want to look into that. I know how harassing they can be I had a home with them and we were late by three days and they were calling two and three times a day and could care less what kind of hardships you were going thru. IM sorry for the loss of your mother and hope you get these mean people out of your lives.
