The home we have is nothing like the home we envisioned. We started the deal on the house in October 2008. We had two old mobile homes on our four acres; double-wide and a single-wide. The single-wide was part of the Silver Key agreement. We paid to have the double-wide hauled away. The single-wide is still in place. The double-wide has been torn down as evidenced by the full dumpster with doors propped against it, sitting in our drive way. The code enforcement officer drives by every morning.

With our home, we ordered a porch with white brick support columns and a cement cap approximately 8 by 20 feet. We were supposed to have white brick underpinning to match. We don't.

Clayton Homes sales person was adamant that we mark off where we wanted our home on our property. We did that using metal posts and orange tape. However; they didn't put our home there. Subsequently, two feet from the bottom step of our porch is an Oak tree.

Additionally, we had an air conditioning unit, purchased two months previous, with a gas pack that had to be installed in the front of our home because brick underpinning was not high enough anywhere else.

The only catagory that initially passed building inspection was the electrical. We were promised to be in our home by Christmas. Clayton Homes had brick layers working on Christmas! I was horrified--those people should have been allowed to have Christmas with their families!
