 I recently purchased a pup from Clayton and his wife Margaret, and I couldn't be more happy. These reports on here don't add up to the experience that I have had with my dog, with Clayton, and with Von der Stadtrand. I paid $1450 for my dog Ryker, and he is worth his weight in gold. He is truly the most beautiful dog inside and out. Ryker is 100% healthy and his temperament is beyond compare. I have 2 children as well as a cat, and this dog is confident and loving in every situation he is placed in. We attend club training every Saturday which Clayton offers FOR FREE with his wife, son, and family of stunning, obedient, loving dogs.

Generations of dogs are always in attendance and it it clear to anyone who attends that these dogs are healthy, well-adjusted, well-trained, family dogs. We look forward to training so we can witness first-hand the beauty and temperament of these dogs, as well as the "family" of Von der Stadtrand dog owners who are clearly madly in love with their dogs. So far I have a 13 week old dog who is fully potty-trained, loves his crate and sleeps through the night, can sit, lay down, heel, come, and more. His intelligence is exceptional. This is my first GSD, and Clayton has helped me to do everything right with this dog to nurture him to be the best dog possible. He has been there to answer all of my "new mommy" questions, and never ONCE has hesitated to return a phone call, no matter how silly the question.

He in fact THANKS me when I call and inquire, as he loves all of his dogs and wants them to be happy healthy pets. This dog has already exceeded all of my expectations, and it is directly due to Claytons experience, breeding practices and constant involvement with his dogs and their owners. I am shocked and disgusted to see any negative words against this man or these dogs. He is the epitome of a truly responsible and caring breeder, and I will shout from the mountain tops against any negative report to the contrary. I beg anyone reading these reports to take everything you read with a grain of salt, and trust that if you choose to purchase one of Clayton's dogs, it will be the best decision you could make. I can't wait to get my second.

I Hope this is not true! I bought a German Shepard from Clayton in 1996. Boomer (was our pet name for "D" V.D. Stadtrand) He was the best Pet I ever owned!! He was GREAT with the kids and then the grandkids ! Never ever Growled or lashed out at any of the kids. LOVED other dogs. I just can't say enough obout my Boomer > God rest his soul , he will forever be in our hearts. So with that said , I was looking up Clayton to see what he's doing today. I was hoping to get one of Boomers Relatives. Looking for updates on this situation. I do have to say the only problem I had with Clayton was I never recieved the AKC papers on Boomer that were suppose to be sent once my check cleared. I never persued it do to the fact I didn't want to breed him.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but please google Wisconsin Circuit Court Access.Enter his name in the simple search bar.

He seems to have a long history of not paying his debts.

He has many judgements against him.

I would start to file a small claims against him.

The odds of him following through on his contract is probably not good.

Alice has had her dog for many years. It took exactly 10 days for her dog to arrive from Europe after she had wired the money to me. 10-14 days is normal to make flight plans and get all paperwork together. The dog did come with registration papers.

Please remove this Complaint as the matter has long since been resolved!!!

Clayton E-mailed me a few minutes ago and said that Fatima will arrive this Wednesday. I will post again after her arrival. There may have been a misunderstanding. He said that his partner responded to the e-mail that I sent from my friend's e-mail address because he was out of town. He also said that he e-mailed me last week about her coming on Wednesday. I did not receive that E-mail but it is certainly within the realm of possibilities that it was sent and I just didn't receive it.
