Clearwire is NOT a service. It is an ANTI-SERVICE. We signed up for service in Nov. 2006. We had the service for 5 months. It only worked about half the time. There were numerous times that we had our service interupted and turned off due to the poor quality of the wireless box that they provided.
We tried to get help with technical support on-line. That help only lasted about one day. After 5 months of lousy service, we cancelled our service and now they want us to pay $180 cancellation fee!!!! What a scam!!! Is this the only way they make money?
Now we are in dispute with Clearwire. We have disputed all the charges on our credit card. We even had to close our credit card account because they kept recharging us for the service we were in dispute about. They even double billed us for service in February! They claim all these charges are valid. HA HA!
We have been on the phone with Clearwire trying to negotiate a settelment that is fair with both parties. At first we were only able to talk to operators that could not help us. So we asked for a manager. They said that a manager would call us in 24 to 48 hours. We have never received a call from a manager EVER even though we were promised several times.
They have now sent our bill to collections. We have turned our case into the Better Business Bureau. I would suggest you do the same if we want Shisters like this made accountable. Get on line and flood them with complaints about clearwire at www.thebbb.org Maybe we can get companies like to go out of business.
For being called a service industry, they sure have lousy service. We have had people at clearwire yell at us on the phone, demand that we pay for lousy service, make promises that they don't intend to keep, and threaten us. I'm tired of this type of business tactic. This type of business won't last long if we get the word out about who they really are!!
