I had a Pixel Laser in June 2011. I had SEVERE swelling in which my eye shut and I had no facial landmarks any more. I called FY as indicated on the Consent Form at midnight and got their answering machine.
The next day I called at 11 a.m. as this is when the manager comes in. She swore to me she would call me right back. SIX HOURS LATER I finally text the regional manager Liz. She text me I should take Benadryl. Then she had the manager of Tannansbourne call me and her first words were "You wouldn't believe the day I had!" I immediately started crying. I had waited 6 hours for her to call me back.
After 3 days, I noticed my vision was not where it was before the Pixel. I had LASIK surgery done 9 months ago. I went back to FY and asked for a copy of my Consent Form. The workers told me I had to contact Corporate office. I called corporate office and was told I needed to correspond in emails from now on. I asked for my Consent form. I told them I was having vision problems. They told me to keep in touch.
I went back to LASIK Plus and had my vision tested. It was 20/40. Just 6 months ago, it was 20/20. I emailed FY. They said the appropriate person would be in contact with me. I emailed that I wanted a copy of my Consent form. They said they would be in contact.
Corporate then emailed me that I could be in contact with the Regional Manager, Liz. I called Liz. She showed me a copy of my Consent form. I went to put the copy in my purse. She requested I give it back. She spoke for 45 minutes to me which could have been a tape recording of what Corporate told her. I told her I could have a copy of my Consent Form. She said to me, "I dont mean to be rude, but why do you want the consent?" I gave her back the Consent form and told her I could get a copy of it by law. Liz said the nurse would be in contact with me.
On 07/08, Cheryl from FY called me. I went through my entire story again about my vision problems. She said she was not aware of any problems I was having and stated the nurse would call me immediately after she called her.
Finally nearly 3 hours later Alesha the nurse calls me. She works full time at Tuality Hospital and checks her messages on her lunch break and also after work. She said there was one other person who had a severe swelling reaction to the Pixel. She said she had never heard that I had been having problems - this more than 2 weeks after the Pixel procedure and my constant emailing to them.
On 08/04 I wrote FY and told them I still had continued vision problems and pain. I told them I bought the packages at FY to heal after a long domestic violence relationship, to help my self esteem.
Alesha called me. She said she was in another State as she was in Army boot camp but was still functioning as FY's nurse She said she would get back to me after texting "a couple of people". She said she would help me.
On 08/08 I text Alesha. No word.
On 08/29 I went to Hillsboro Eye Clinic and had my vision retested. It is still 20/40. I emailed FY.
On 09/01, I emailed FY. I was told that Cheryl no longer worked there and heather was now a part-time receptionist. I told them that I have another appointment with Lasix Plus for a redo LASIK procedure.
Forever Young happily took my money but when I had a medical problem, no one is there to help me. They are quick to call you to sell you packages, but in my opinion, the Pixel Procedure should be done by a physician with medical follow up. There is no follow up. If you are willing to chance your health, vision or skin with a cheaper alternative than a physician's office, go here.
This Pixel is an invasive procedure and should have a medical facility backing them up and not just a nurse that is part-time by cell phone or only a doctor's license on the wall. I have never heard from the doctor. I have never seen a doctor there.
I am still in pain and will have to undergo another eye surgery. Forever Young I feel does not care how I am, once they have been paid in full.
