Co-Operative Consignment Liberty Consignment Store Sellers on Craigslist or ebay try to get you to use this SAFE ESCROW service for payment Internet

You want to buy something on Craigslist, eBay or whatever. Seller wants to use an ESCROW service so the transaction with be SAFE.

They suggest Co-Operative Consignment or Liberty Consignment or some other ESCROW service. It's a rip off. They have nothing sell and the ESCROW company is a scam web site with the only purpose of stealing your money.

Never use an ESCROW service unless you can POSITIVELY verify their physical location and valid phone number and verify this with a 3rd party such as local law enforcement, local chamber of commerce, local BBB or other safe source.

I did not get ripped off, but they sure tried.

I saw an item on Craigslist. When I inquired about it they gave me the old "out of town helping with my  daughters wedding, please use co-operative consignment". The item listed was shown to be local to me so I replied saying "I want to come and see the item and pay cash", they replied with the exact reply I got from my initial inquiry indicating they did not even read my reply nor attempt to respond to my question.

Also, these guys spend a lot of time on web sites posting questions like "has anyone heard of or use this service? Is is legit?", then they have dozens of phony accounts and respond by saying "it worked for me" or "I was worried at first, but it then worked out", or "these guys are totally legit, I even know XXX who works there", etc. etc. Some are quite detailed and lengthy to get you to believe they are real.
