Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Coast to Coast Auto Glass is beyond horrible. First of all, they operate under a different name. The sales people tell you they are with Coast to Coast Auto Glass, but the business license is in the name of another company. To me, that doesn't even seem legitimate. Not to mention, by these yahoos operating outside the realm of the business license in question, is just downright illegal!
They go door to door, lying to unaware people that they are in the area doing some windshield replacements, "at no cost," then want to take you to your car so they can persuade you to have it replaced. This questionable company IS NOT on ANY insurance companies preferred glass programs for a reason. Their so-called "Lifetime" Warranty is not valid through ANY insurance company whatsoever. If you get suckered in by them, and encounter problems with your new windshield, good luck in trying to get a hold of them to correct the problem. Your insurance company WILL NOT assist you in that matter, cause when they called, they informed you then that they will not honor their alleged warranty.
If Coast to Coast Auto Glass was so proud to claim to be the second largest auto glass company in the nation, then my question is why aren't they properly licensed in the areas they solicit? Well, Coast to Coast Auto Glass ALWAYS operates their offices under different names. In Charleston, SC, they operate under the pathetic name of Synergy Management. Parts of Florida, they go by Prospect Inc. Wherever they are, you can count on them being licensed by another name, other than Coast to Coast Auto Glass. I just can't imagine why anyone who checks this lame company out desire to do ANY business with them whatsoever. If you already had, and did not encounter any problems, then you truly are very, very lucky!
I certainly cannot speak for the various offices Coast to Coast Auto Glass conducts business in, but here in Charleston, SC, this one here is absolutely horrible! In many of the work places, word of mouth is spreading about this company, and the way they operate. People now are becoming aware of their scam related practices and phoning the police right away. Chances are, if one of their sales people comes to your door, he/she is their illegally. Take the time to ask for their business license. You will quickly discover that it is a City of Charleston business license and the name on the license states Synergy Management, and not Coast to Coast Auto Glass.
Their trained smooth talking reps will also point out that on their invoice, they provide 5 Corporate offices. If you try and call the phone numbers to their offices in New York, South Carolina, or anywhere, the number dialed is automatically redirected to the office in Arizona. Good luck in actually being able to talk to anyone. The bottom line is real simple. There is NO corporate office, and all calls are handled through their Arizona office. Also, on their invoice, their sales people are trained to hand write "Lifetime Warranty" and "No Cost to Customer" on each and every one.
