We entered into an agreement with coastal to provide broker services to Coastal for deregulated energy. We performed the service and earned over $ 10,000 in commission.  The written agreement stated that they would pay us within 15 days of customer acceptance.  They refuse to pay amounts due.

We were also contracted to offer their utility bill auditing service on a contingency basis.  In their company literature they state 70% of energy customers are billed incorrectly by the utility.  After submitting over 100 deals only one customer was due a refund. We believe that they use this to lure customers into their energy contracts at inflated rates with the promise of refunds for over billing.

If you are an audit prospect be ware especially with the 4 years of ongoing fees.  Who determines those fees, they do. There are legitimate utility auditing companies but they are not one of them.

If you are a energy sales rep beware as they do not pay you.  Unfortunately this is widespread in the
deregulated marketplace.  They may pay you on a few deals but when the volume increases they stop paying
