US BeefUS Beef - Coastal Gourmet Foods Inc. Artfully circumvent responsibility to honor return policy Santa Ana California

This is regarding my efforts to cancel the transaction with Coastal Gourmet Foods Inc. on 17 January 2009, the amount of $169, which was a home solicitation sale. Coastal Gourmet Foods Inc. do not adhere to their return policy, which states that the customer can return the goods purchased within 3 days of purchase date. We did phone the customer service of Coastal Gourmet Foods to cancel the order the same day of the purchase (Sat 17 Jan '09) and also on the following Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The customer service representative informed us returning the product is no problem but doesn't have the authority to cancel the order, but her manager can and will contact us (who were not available every time). It is now almost 30 days after the purchase date and the manager hasn't returned any calls. I still have the meat boxed and wrapped as delivered in my freezer and still intend to return it.
