Cobblestone auto spa Scottsdale cobblestone auto spa ruined my truck Scottsdale, Arizona
I recently decided to sell my truck so in doing so I had decided that if I detailed the truck I might get more money for it so I took it to my local carwash (Cobblestone Auto Spa in Scottsdale Arizona) BIG MISTAKE. When I pulled up to the guy who sells you EVERYTHING I instantly told him that I was cleaning the truck in order to sell it so he instantly offered me the total package which included the "engine bay cleaning" as well as washing the undercarriage and the whole shmear. So I agreed. When my truck was ready it was filthy everywhere. There was a pile of old tree bark that was about two inches of the entire bed.
The manager Sean was the person who delivered my car to me and I said "are you going to do anything about this"? And Sean said "you didn't pay for that!" I said "Sean, they sold me everything but a pap smear so how did I not pay for that"? Sean proceeded to tell me in a threatening manner that "I am a manager and you didn't pay for that", raising his voice. So I just let it go. When I got home I looked at my receipt and it said clearly "clean truck bed." It seems that all they really did to the truck is turn the dirt into mud.
If they were as good at washing the car as they are at selling their services and fast talking they would have washed my old chevy into a Ferrari! Anyways I parked the truck in my driveway and then not an hour later I had to get back out so I got in the truck and it wouldn't start. I called Cobblestone and they said "we will send our mechanic out tomorrow." and they did. The mechanic tore my dash apart and tried a bunch of things and finally said "for sure it is the fuel pump its just a crazy coincidence." so I called a mechanic that I had known for years and he came out and I took Cobblestone's mechanic for his word (big mistake number 2) and told my mechanic that it was the fuel pump so he replaced it.
Still won't start. My mechanic left because it was late leaving me a $600 bill which was cheap because most shops quoted me over $1000 for the fix. Mechanic came next morning and found that the crank shaft sensor had mud in it so he eaned it out and voilla it started... I got another $120 bill and that was that. So now I contact Cobblestone's corporate office and they said hey no problem email copies of the bill and the receipt and we will take care of it. Then they emailed me back that I was lying to them and it was the fuel pump and that they didn't believe my mechanic was a real mechanic etc.
Long story short I sold my truck and the poor kid who bought it said that it had electrical problems which it never did before and that every warning light in the entire dash was lit up. I called several. Mechanics and they all stated that "you should NEVER EVER PRESSURE WASH AN ENGINE". So now I have to take these thieves to court and it is a horrible experience. They are crooks and I would never use them again and will do everything I can to prevent anyone I know from ever going there. I will sue them even if it costs me ten times that for attorney fees. Its not right
