We had a horrible experience from the beginning with this company. They first lie to you and say your name was choosen for a free year of RV camping at their "timeshare like" resorts. Everyone who puts their name in the box at Camping World gets the solicitation. They promise gifts if you through their presentation before you get the year of Free membership. When you arrive after traveling a very long distance - you are greeted by very rude unwelcoming staff. We were late to our scheduled "appointment" due to horrible two lane traffic issues. Ok, so we may have to be rescheduled but to insult us and treat us like crap - uncalled for! I boyfriend said a cus word in a generalized statement because we just drove three hours to get there and they literally threatened us with the sheriff! Really people. Let's take it to the extreme here. There is nothing of what we were promised and we were so appalled by the way we were treated, it took us hours to get over it. Bottom line unprofessional and out to swindle your money.

The staff and management at Colorado River Adventures are responding to this complaint in an in general manner because we have not been contacted personally so that we are privy to the details of the complaint. We do appreciate the opportunity to have dialogue in order that we might address and correct all complaints.

We invite vacation minded people to fill out questionnaires at business like Camping World. Thousands of these are received. We then, hand select the families whose likes, interests and household locations suit our camping style the best. We call these people and invite them to spend some free time with us and attend a sales presentation of our membership. Besides the free camping we do offer gifts as an added incentive.

For varied reasons some people choose to attend a day visit to one of our parks. They attend the same type of presentation as our guests who camp with us. The times for these presentations are scheduled according to the number of representatives available. If a guest is late and cannot be accommodated they should be invited to reschedule. Understanding that there are extenuating circumstances our staff should not be rude. Also understanding that these same circumstances could cause tensions to rise our staff again should do everything possible to diffuse any problems, not escalate them.

Since we pride ourselves in being a system of Family Parks we cannot allow profanity, in the parks and also not in a salesroom full of prospective buyers. I am sure you understand. If the situation was mishandled we apologize. We have over 15,000 active and happy members. We welcome the opportunity to address and resolve all issues that are reported to us.
