In late summer of 2011, we purchased a used KZ Coyote Hybrid camper from Dave at Colton RV. We paid cash. We had never shelled out cash for such a big ticket item before and we were a little nervous. Dave assured us that it was a great camper and that the maintenance dept would go over it with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything was perfect before we picked it up. My husband, being an auto mechanic, noticed that the tires looked a little old and were showing signs of dry rot and Dave stated that if this were the case, they would be replaced. When we picked up the camper a few days later, my husband noticed that one of the bad tires had not been changed. When questioned about this, Dave stated that they would only change the tire if the mechanic felt it necessary. My husband has years of auto repair experience and can recognize a bad tire. After a few heated moments of back and forth interaction, Dave agreed to order a new tire and Colton would pay half the expense. We never heard anything back from them after that on a new tire. We also experienced a major water leak over one of the beds the first time it rained and this continues to be an issue. It has caused damage to the wood on the bed and around the frame of the bed. We actually have to duck tape around the frame of the bed when we fold it up. So much for going over the camper with a fine tooth comb. we dont have slot of extra money and this was our one big splurge and I feel as though Colton did not us and our happiness in mind, only our wallets.
