On December 2, 2004, I mailed in all the forms for my rebate. I have contacted the company on numerous occasions, and left messagese-mailed on numerous occasions, and was told I'd get a response, and never did. I called Fry's to get a direct number, and spoke with a woman named Nancy. I sent in all the correct forms and UPC numbers. On one occasion she told me she would process my rebate.
Then when I still did not get my rebate, I called again in May, 2004. I was told by Nancy that they have had a problem getting paid by Fry's, and put all these rebates on hold. I called Fry's and they told me that was not true. I then called back the number for Nancy again today, and was told I reached the reception desk, and that Nancy could now be reached at the 800 number. I called the 800 number and was got a message that the mailbox was full. I called the other number again, and was told that she can leave a message for Nancy and she'd get back to me.
Obviously, this company is hoping all those rebate requesters will just go away if they just keep giving us the run around. We cannot give up!

Rebuttal to Mandi's rebuttal

With that said, I do believe that I also mentioned that a check from Columbia Telecommunications was issued to me, in the amount of $25.00, and I called the bank to make sure there were sufficient funds in the account, and thus far, the check has not bounced. It has only been two weeks, but the stay on the bankruptcy must have been lifted because my check was issued on October 25, 2004.
So, my solution, start calling Columbia Telecommunications again (not Fry's), and ask for your checks. Then, if its received, call their bank(Bank of New York-I believe), ask if there are sufficient funds in the account, (the account number will be at the bottom of the check they issue) and if so, don't walk, RUN, to your bank and deposit the check (or if you are near a Bank of New York, go directly there and cash it!).

AUTHOR: Pam - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, November 04, 2004
I called the Bank of New York today to verify funds in the account, and was told that they had sufficient funds. Anyone else get a check recently after waiting for months and months? Anyone try to cash it??
Will update again after I cash the check...........
