Columbus Auto Resale- Grove City Do not buy a car from Columbus Auto Resale in Grove City Ohio

I went to look at a car at CAR (Columbus Auto Resale) on 12/15 and I explained the the manager Kelly that I did not have money to put down at this time. He tired to work with me and have me drive other cars and even take one home to try out for the day. I ended up coming back the next day and returning the SUV that I did not want to due to gas but I still had the first car that I wanted in the back of my mind and told him I would be back.

I called and spoke to kelly a day later to see if first car I wanted( Cadillac) was still there. He said yes it is still here and you can come buy and see it and this is what the payments would be. I said I will be there when I get off of work. I went that evening to test drive the car again. Mind you there slogan is we sell "CLEAN CARS" and the cadillac that we test drove smelled like a dog had lived in there for months and there was gum in the cup holders but I was trying to over look those things because I really wanted this cadillac. But because Kelly was not in they said I would have to return the next day so he can figure my deal out. We took the cadillac hom for the day to see how it rode to work and it also gave me a chance to take the car to a mechanic to check it out.

The next day came I went after work and spent money to get the car looked at and everything was fine with it except the tires were bald but I still was willing to work out a deal. I went back to the car dealership and first was not greted when I walked in the door. And the sales man that we dealt with was sitting right in front of us when we walked in. I am 6 months pregnany and was not offered any where to sit so I made my way in and sat anywhere I seen an empty seat. Then Kelly the so called MANAGER would not come out and speak with us he totally avoided us like we were not there.

The sales man came over and started explaining that they just found out the the bank will only finance a certain amount and that we had to put down $1,000 to cover any taxes. I explained to him again that I did not have $1000 to give him on any car right now. He pretty much said that that would go for pretty much any car on the lot??? And I''m thinking how is that possible when half of these cars ain't worth anything!!! So I handed his keys back and left.

What was odd is that the manager (kelly) avoided us the entire time, did not speak to us at all. And normally car dealerships try and work you into something else or something and they did not do a thing. I feel that they are very shady and just wanted the $1000 to pocket for themselves.

They did not get the chance to rip me off but I just want to warn people that this company will tell you one thing and as soon as your ready to buy it tell you something else!!
