Submitted applications that required clients doctor information.......information that was

contained in the doctors report caused the application to be declined.  As a result of the

application being declined for medical information unknown to the agent and/or the

client, Combined issued a Disciplinary Notice to the agent for submitting an application

that ended up being denied.

How the hell does the agent know what MIGHT be in a doctor report that would cause

the application to be declined ???

Combined disciplined the agent for this.    What a joke.

Know the Underwriting Rules of Your Company

AUTHOR: R J S, MBA - (United States of America)

Check with underwriting  and share with them the particular circumstances surrounding the application.  That way you can proceed if it will be approved or don't take the application if it is NOT going to be approved.  Don't take a "shot in the dark" because it is unfair to the client and the company.

Know your underwriting guidelines and if in doubt call underwriting - plain and simple.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Real Agents know their clients

AUTHOR: Anyways11 - (USA)

Every client I have ever written a medical or life application on has spilled their guts about all their issues. The Agent should have known it would be declined. My guess is his or her idiot manager put pressure on them to submit it to make their numbers look better then threw them under the bus once it came back to bite them in the ass. Like have been saying when Combined comes calling, LOCK THE DOOR AND RUN THE OTHER WAY!
