Should have come here first, BEFORE signing a 24 month contract with Comcast based on their deceptive $250 rebate offer... Like many of these other stories I was suckered into signing up for the Comcast Triple Play after purchasing my first home.


The offer- $250 rebate when signing up for 24 months of the triple play service at $99.00- What they don't tell you is that you will literally call Comcast 20-40 times, get the run around and will give you EVERY excuse in the book about where your rebate is. Each time it is a different answer and.. surprise! No rebate.


 After not receiving my first bill in the mail, but somehow receiving the 24 mo contract in the mail I contacted Comcast in Sept via their online customer service chat room..  They told me then, I had to have 90 days of on time payments before getting my rebate (which was NOT disclosed to me when signing up) They mentioned my 1st payment was 5 days late.. I told them I would NOT sign the contract unless they would GUARANTEE the mishap of mail and late payment would not affect my status of getting the rebate.


 I was promised, IN WRITING, (in fact they GUARANTEED) that it would not affect my rebate and that I would get the rebate in November. Called in November, was told it had to be 90 days of current service from the date last paid current, so I would get in in Dec. Called in December only to be told I will NEVER receive it because my payment was late in Sept. IS this a JOKE?! I asked for the supervisor's supervisor, and was told I cannot speak with them for confidentiality reasons.. Really? One supervisor who sounds like she's 12 and my she's my only option..?


Sounds like this company has figured out every trick in the book to bait the customer into signing a 2 YEAR contract and bail on their end of the agreement. From erroneous sign up info to "check the website" to call a 800 number with no one to answer it.. I can't believe a class action lawsuit has not been filed... If anyone is interested, count me in!
