I signed up for Comcast Cable, Internet and Telephone four days ago. First Comcast Installed used equipment that does not support the highest resloution TV's I have (no HDMI connection). When I mentioned it to the Comcast representative he said "thats all I have" so I called customer support. When I explained the sitiaution to them there answer was " If it works we use it". A little frustrated I asked to speak with a manager and was put on hold. Eventually the agent came back and said all the managers were in a meeting. When the Comcast representative finished the installation he said he would be back the next day to swap the used equipment. Aftrer he left I called Comcast customer care to complain about the used equipment and the agent who took my call asked me if the agent said he would be back before I mentioned it. He also said "I thought so, I will have my manager call you if he doesn't show up". Nobody ever called and the representative never returned. I missed a second afternoon at work for nothing so I called to file a complaint. Eventually I was told to take the equipment to a Comcast store and they would give me the equipment that works with high resolution TV's with HDMI connections but I told the agent I wanted to speak with a manager. She put me on hold and evetually came back to say " thye are all in a meeting". I am not exaggerating, I confirmed both times these are 300 seat call centers and no manager will get on the phone. So my final experience was with the high speed internet thet installed. So we start using our new 30mbs high speed internet and we immediately notice that we can get to Google but get an error meesage on other pages like gmail login. I use my mobile wireless phone to cennect to the internet and the problem does not exist so I called Comcast customer care. I explain to them that while using the new Comcast service I keep getting error message but if I use my mobile device to surf the internet there is no problem. The agent (without telling me) transfers me to another agent who acts like he going to trouble shoot my problem. I expained that it only happens when I use the new Comcast internet service. He starts to tell me I have virus issues and the Comcast service is not the problem but I reminded him that it only happens when I use Comcast internet. He conitues to tell me they need to diagnose the problem for virus's and begins to suggest buying a Comcast support package. I told him my computers are protected and its the Comcast service thats disrupting my computers. Eventually he tells me they transferred me to the Sales department. Hes not even a trouble shooting technician. When I told him I am not buying anything because its there internet service he told me they need to trouble shoot for virus's to help and buying a package was the way its done. I asked to speak to a manager and he told me they were all in a meeting. What a scam.
