I was told that for $47 per month I could get all premium cable channels. I took my box in to the local office and told the lady about the offer the man on the phone told me about. She said that was untrue, a package like that would cost $84.98. She said that the closest thing she could give me was all digital channels plus 10 HBOs for $51.98 per month. It seemed excessive but I was willing to pay it.
I hooked the box up and all I could get was HBOs. I called and asked why and they said all I was signed up for were the HBOs for $14.95 per month. I said that wasn't true and told her what I said I would pay for. She then told me she would fix it. Then I was getting all of the normal digital channels except the HBOs. I called to complain and this time they told me no package like that exists. They told me the $51.98 package did not include HBOs. They did say I could add them for an additional $6.99 per month and the price would increase after 6 months. I said no because this is not what I agreed to. They then said they would have a supervisor call me back in an hour.
After 2 hours I called them back. They said they couldn't do anything for me and that the package I wanted was $62.98. They did offer me a discount for the first few months but I didn't accept because I didn't agree to any of these charges. All I want is the original package I agreed to. Comcast uses tricks to get you to keep upgrading by making you think you have everything.
Take my advice: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CONS, GET SATELLITE OR DIRECT-TV! Companies should not be allowed to push people around and make false offers. The document I signed for this was nothing but zeros in the blanks. Everything about this company is phony! They rip people off. Why would all of these company employees that don't even know each other lie like this?

Comcast does lie, even to good custumers

I ended up talking to the supervisor and she told me they would take care of it. I told her I heard those words before, what guareete were they going to give me, and they told me they would keep there words and that for my inconveince they would also give us extras channels for one month. The next bill came, and again, nothing was fixed, and to had to problems they now had if I didn't even pay my bill at all. I called again, and this time, rudiness was on the other end of the line. I now was a sneaky, liar and if I didn't pay it in full they would come out and get their boxes.
So let me say this, a business is only as good as the people who work for them. Policies, and practices are taught in training, and so I say companies teach employees how to work close to illegal and then pay them to do it over and over again. I myself now decided to go back to school and study law. I believe new laws need to be created to also protect comsumers, for if companies who pratice illegal business procedures, they need to remember, they are in the end bitting off the hands that would feed them.

They have always been upfront about their prices and gave at least 3 months warning if the rates were going to rise. What it sounds like you got was an introductory offer that you were supposed to cancel the service if you did not want to pay the full amount after a period of time. They will not contact you saying that you offer is almost up.
I am sorry that you are upset over the situation, but I do belive that proper communication on your part to the company, and doing some research on pricing yourself, would have prevented it. All thir packages are online with the prices and they have booklets on it at the Pell Dr location too (you should have seen them there). Comcast is a great company offering a quality product. I am quite happy with the sservice they provide for me.
