I have been a loyal Comcast customer for about 3 years now and want to make clear That I have never missed a payment or sent in a missed or late payment. Last week my cable service all of a sudden just stopped working. It was about 8:30 at night and I called Comcast to get the problem resolved. Comcast informed me that they had shut off my service because I had a past due balance of $275 and the only way to get my service back on was to pay it. I asked why I had that balance considering that I had just payed my on time bill of $112 5 days prior and it came out of my account. The customer service agent told me that I would have to wait untill the following day and call the billing department to resolve this, and that he didn't have the information that I needed. The next day I called Comcast to see what the hell was going on and was put on hold for 25 minutes before I got to a real person. I was talking to a lady who tried to be very helpful and nice about my situation but did not have the authority" to turn my cable back on without a payment. I was told that my payment a few days prior went to somebody else's account because Comcast changed it without any notice to me at all. So basically I payed a hundred and something dollars to somebody else's account and when the agent saw that, she applied the payment back to my account. Nothing changed besides the account number. The bill amount and everything was for the same that I paid and I have a long list of bank records and Comcast bills that prove that I have paid my bill in full on time every time. Comcast out of nowhere is demanding $160 more dollars that I don't owe to bring my account current to turn my cable back on. Their was no mistake made on my part I do not owe those greedy(((REDACTED FOUL LANGUAGE))) anything and a balance of 160 is still due after the agent redirected my previous payment to my new account number. The moral of the story is, Comcast somehow made a mistake and is saying I owe them money when I don't, and have the records to show it. They have a pay me or don't watch tv attitude about it too. Please nobody go with Comcast I will be switching to direct tv after this. Comcast does nothing for their customers
