When I selected to have my payroll directly deposited by comdata I went through the registration and selections options given, there were no percentages available to select, only amount of balance to be left on the pay card. I selected 100.00 to be left on the card account. They paid my bank 100 dollars and left a remaining balance of 229.00 on the card.

Then when I ask since they only allow one transaction free will this cost me to collect the remaining balance on the card?
The customer service agent told me it would cost me $5.00 to collect this remaining balance since the direct deposit was supposed to be my one time free use of the card. How is it my fault they mixed up the deposit from the amount supposed to be left on the card??

I work for Comdata Customer Service Contact Center.  We offer many Direct Deposit options to our customers and the various options can be confusing.  We offer two variations to the type of deposit you requested.  One is, set the amount to stay on the card account and Direct Deposit the remaining balance to your personal bank account and the other is set an amount to Direct Deposit to your personal bank account and the remaining balance stay on your card account.  It appears as though the second option is what was established.  Please call us at 1-888-265-8228 and we can provide you with information about how your Direct Deposit is currently set-up and inform you how to edit it if it is not set-up correctly.  Also, we can work with you to correct the problem that you are encountering with fees that were charged to the card.  We are open twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week for your convenience.
