Next, I filled out the rebate form, and sent the UPC and receipt etc., but got turned down because "the printed SKU number on the rebate form was different to the SKU of the box I purchased!!"
Wha'??? For a technicality like that? It turns out that CompUSA uses two different SKU numbers for the same product (#314679, and #315937). In fact, in a subsequent flyer, they quote BOTH SKU numbers as being valid!
So, a warning, folks! If they send you the wrong box (compusa.com), or if they happen to be using the other SKU number on their boxes on a day they have a rebate, then forget about them honoring the rebate!
Send your complaints to "Kevin Hain" , but don't expect more than one response... once he's turned you down, then he'll turn you off!!!
